Combat Knife

The trick is never to stay in one place for too long. Inevitably the undead will sniff you out of your hiding hole, and you’ll find yourself cornered by an endless sea of flesh-hungry abominations. Unfortunately, while you’re on the move, your last encounter emptied the last of your bullets. With an empty gun you’re defenseless.

You take refuge in an abandoned police station, looking for a new weapon. Most people have thought the same thing, because the place is picked clean. You are lucky, however, as you stumble upon an overturned desk. Beneath the mess you find a Combat Knife wedged in the head of a decaying zombie. You pull the knife from the now unanimated corpse, taking a closer look at the knife. It’s a good find.

The vast wastelands are dangerous, and so you are armed to the teeth. Guns, knives, and even a chainsaw are kept handy should the specific need arise to use them. Your favourite, however, is your Sewer Shield.

The large piece of metal is practically indestructible. It’s a tried and true way of protecting yourself from your enemies, and it makes you look especially tough being able to easily carry such an enormous weight.

DETAILS

Dark Moon’s Sewer Shield is a realistic looking latex manhole cover, designed to be used against raider bullets and zombie claws alike. The Sewer Shield is sculpted and handpainted to look like heavy metal, with two fat iron chains running through it. In the center of its 60 cm diameter, the word ‘STORM’ is carved on the face.

Wear this Riot Shield left- or right-handed with the use of four versatile leather arm straps on the back. Feel confident that this hard EVA foam and latex shield will withstand the continued abuse of a LARP with regular latex maintenance.

With a sigh of relief, the ranger stretched his sore back muscles and leaned against a large tree, his pale grey eyes surveying the great plains in front of him as dawn peeked over the grasslands. Tipping his hat, the rugged frontier man covered his face from the rising sun and took his first genuine rest in three days, fatigue taking over his body after the hunt of a lifetime. As he slipped into sleep, the frontier man was assaulted by vivid dreams of his epic duel with the beast, the roaring bear charging with its bloody claws, man-eating jaws aiming for his neck, thinking it could feast on the ranger as it did with the last five humans that felt before its hunger.

The hunter twitched in his sleep, his fingers grasping for his shotgun, finding it missing. The bear had knocked it from his hands with a swipe of its mighty paw, leaving Walt scrambling for his life, pinned by the massive animal. He was saved by the most simple and most loyal tool, his sturdy hunting knife. In a moment of despair and fear-induced rage, he managed to take hold of the horn-carved handle and, with strength that could only be matched by a man facing his own mortality, he sank the foot-long chunk of sharp steel in the monster's neck. As soon as the bear died, the memory faded, and the rugged rander finally found peace in his dreams. He slept for a few hours, the bearskin hanging from a thick branch nearby, drying in the morning sun, waiting to be turned into a worthy trophy for the hunter.
