Epic Armoury’s Baal is a beautiful two-handed sword with variable grip and an extra long blade. From tip to pommel, the Baal spans a massive 140 cm, including a 100 cm long center ridged blade with a leather wrapped ricasso for half-swording techniques integral to longsword fighting in close quarters. The blade can be used with both hands on the handle, or with one hand shifted up onto the ricasso for improved control and greater maneuvering speed.

The Baal sword has a V-shaped crossguard decorated with diamond patterns, protecting the 32 cm handle wrapped in split-leather. The grip is ergonomic to give you the best possible control of the lengthy blade. The pentagonal pommel is designed to match the crossguard.

HISTORY

• Inspired by a Prince of Hell by the name of Baal, said to be Satan’s main assistant
• Baal is also a term used for Lord, and is at times synonymous with God
• Two-handed swords were not common until after the 13th century, gaining popularity as an infantry weapon in the 15th and 16th centuries
• Also referred to as a Zweihänder (lit. Two-Hander)
• Soldiers who trained to use these swords were called Meister des langen Schwertes (lit. Master of the Long Sword)

Epic Armoury’s Sky Hook offers an alternate method of carrying your weapon, providing more support than a standard waist belt. Using full-grain brown leather, this specialized baldric is designed to strap around the torso, and is both durable and attractive. The leather straps are secured across the chest in an X-design, while the scabbard itself sits at a diagonal across the back. Slide your sword or large axe through the holder, resting its tip inside the chape and its crossguard (or axe head) inside the two hooks. This design allows for easy placement and removal of your weapon quickly, while also keeping the scabbard in place while you fight.

Epic Armoury’s Sun Hammer is a 135cm latex hammer uniquely designed to be safer and easier to wield in combat. The Sun Hammer’s 39cm long head is asymmetrical, featuring a flat 20cm wide face on one end and a spike on the other. The head is hollow, making it safer to use and more lightweight than a foam alternative. Sculpted and hand painted to look like dwarven forged metal, the head is attached to a similarly decorated haft and a 49cm black leather wrapped grip.

The haft is made from durable closed cell foam around a fibreglass core and finished with a strong latex coating. The head is made of strong, flexible latex with an interior foam rod to maintain its shape and keep the head attached to the haft. Epic Armoury’s Nightmare Blade is a hybrid LARP sword with unique and asymmetric detail, designed for the greatest of barbarians. Featuring a notched and worn blade with a long ridge and a decorated ricasso, the Nightmare Blade is a longsword handmade and hand painted to look like real steel with antique gold embellishments. The pommel is shaped like a scent stopper, decorated in gold diamond-shaped ridges.

The Nightmare’s blade is made out of soft EVA foam around a solid fibreglass rod core--chosen for its durability and safety. It is coated with latex for its smooth appearance and to minimize shredding. The 37 cm handle is made of polyurethane for its high detail, and the 17 cm grip is wrapped in leather.

Legend

Who never heard of the feats of the Moerr Rekkr Raudr d’Odinn, the Glorious Red Warriors of Odin? Everywhere they ventured, their chief, Torfa the Just, inspired respect both by his knowledge and by his actions. Attributing his valiance to Odin, god of victory, Torfa the Just, an outstanding Hilmir*, trained his warriors to the handling of the two-handed sword personally.

Clad in the traditional red tartan of their clan, a fur on their shoulder, and equipped with their two-handed sword, these braves lived for the glory of their name. No fight was declined, whether it was amical or mortal in nature, because it was to the challenger to announce his preference.

The viking sword comes from the universe of Seyrawyn, creation of Martial Grisé and Maryse Pepin. On their lands where many people coexist with druids and dragons, the legend says that Torfa the Just had accepted and won a challenge thrown down by the King of dragons himself. Thus, his fabulous two-handed sword would have been the ultimate price for his bravery.

Legend

The englishmen were more and more agressive, pushing further and further the battles in the heart of our lands. We needed to react. While many could simpy take up their family’s blades, most didn’t have this chance. Blacksmiths worked day and night to make more blades, melting forks, cauldrons and other metallic items. The Wild Hunt was in truth an elite cavalry brigade from the world of the Aen Elle, the Alder Folk, and was commanded by their ambitious and ruthless king, Eredin Bréacc Glas, and his faithful sword. He would travel via secret paths through the cold emptiness between his world from ours to capture victims and take them back to his homeland as slaves.

Description

Everything about this sword gives it a unique character: Its hilt with an asymmetrical design, its blade with variable thicknesses, and at the spine of the blade with its fin that gives an incredibly intimidating look to this sword which is wielded, in the videogame The Witcher by Eredin Bréacc Glas.

I watch the fog of my breath fade out in the crisp winter air. The deed was done, and I could rest. The glory of a battle well-fought and won, the primal rush of energy only battle could give a warrior such as I. Epic Armoury’s Devil Horns contains two curved latex-prosthetic horns sculpted to look like demonic horns with vertical ridges. The horns are 6 cm long with a strong curve and tusk-like texture. The large contact-surfaces makes it easy to fasten and keep the horns attached for sustained periods of time. Application of this prosthetic is easy using Epic Effect Prosthetic Power Glue, Mastix Spirit Gum or other prosthetic adhesive. Use these horns for your fiendish costume, or for a character who has been afflicted with dark or infernal powers.
