This bestselling Ready for Battle Gambeson is a padded armour coat covering the torso, abdomen, back and upper arms. It can be worn on its own or serve as essential padding under mail or armour. The gambeson is donned like a jacket and closed on the front with four leather straps with iron buckles.

Thick enough to serve as its own armour, this sturdy gambeson is constructed with heavy layers of fluffed cotton padding sandwiched between coloured heavy cotton, all stitched together in vertical lines. The stitching keeps the padding in place and mimics a classic European high-medieval style. The gambeson is open under the armpits to allow the wearer to breathe and have ease movement.

Though of European cut, gambeson or quilted-style armours have seen world-wide use since antediluvian times, making the Ready for Battle Gambeson a great basic armour with a range of possibilities regardless of time and place.

The plate rests at the hips and has a small flange--or sword turner--that deflects blows from the weak spot where torso and leg armour fit together. Epic Armoury’s Gambeson Legs are a set of quilted cotton greaves designed to add comfort and protection beneath your leg armour. Made from quilted cotton canvas lined with a soft polyester interior and a medium cotton outer layer, they can be worn on their own or as padding beneath heavy steel or leather armour.

The Gambeson Legs are stitched to ensure the padding will remain evenly spaced. Secure them to your legs by tightening the cotton string lacing through brass eyelets up the calf. Epic Armoury's Gambeson Dastan is a padded long-sleeve coat covering the torso from neck, down over the hips and upper thighs both on the front and back. It can be worn on its own or serve as essential padding under mail or armour. The gambeson is donned like a jacket and closed on the front with straps, allowing the wearer to customize the tightness of the fit. The shoulders are easily detachable by untying its cotton cords on the shoulders and sleeves, each cord secured through long-lasting brass eyelets. The gambeson design is created with a two-colour design in mind, giving a splash of colour to it.

Thick enough to serve as its own armour, this sturdy gambeson is constructed with heavy layers of fluffed cotton canvas sandwiched between dyed wool on the outside and softer cotton lining on the inside. All these layers are stitched together in vertical lines, keeping the padding in place.
