Some orcs preferred flint and obsidian for the way that it manages to flense pathetic smooth skins so easily, but the more intelligent among the savage tribes recognised the need for a good can opener.

Epic Armoury’s Dervish Spear is a 190 cm latex weapon inspired by a primitive glaive. The spear’s 70 cm blade is curved and spiked to give it a vengeful look, sculpted and handpainted to appear attached to a wooden pole with leather ties. The weapon is designed to look worn and realistic, with wood grain textures and a matte metal finish.

HISTORY

• A form of the spear has been used for hunting for at least 400,000 years
• Spears were the most common form of weaponry during the Stone Age, and remained popular until firearms were introduced
• This particular design is similar to a glaive, where a single-edged blade is attached to the end of a pole

The chopping tool was favoured by the men of the islands. Whilst true that it lacked the finesse of a smaller, handheld knife, it did provide the stasifaction of cleaving through the shining armour of the men that arrived trying to take their land.

Handmade and hand painted to look like real metal and wood, it is made out of soft EVA foam around a 12 mm solid fibreglass rod core--chosen for its durability and safety. It is coated with latex for its smooth appearance and to minimize shredding.

The Panabas is sculpted to look like a long, axe-like blade that has been heavily notched from war. The 37 cm handle grip is textured like a real wooden staff, with the suggestion of leather binds around its ends. It’s perfect for orcs and barbarians of all sorts.

Inspired by Filipino History

The Shadow Armor Gorget & Pauldron Set is for those who spend their days defending against the daggers that would find their backs. This armor set comprises two hard suede pauldrons and a suede gorget, ideal for fantasy-based Larpers who crave battle. The jagged-edged pauldrons look similar to dragon scales and had adjustable shoulder pads that can stretch to fit most elite warriors. Black Dragon is our brand for the design and construction of weapons, armor and props oriented to LARP, Cosplay and film productions.

These are articles made of materials such as plastazote, evazote, resins and the like, used to give shape and substance to the wildest dreams of every designer or to reproduce objects not otherwise available because of fantasy.

It was born from the meeting between the Fucina del Drago and Black Forge, an artisan workshop that has been active for years in the LARP and Cosplay sector at national and international level which, in February 2020, joined forces in the common goal of expanding their work and their skills to offer them on a wider market also linked to film productions.

From this collaboration, projects related to TV series have been born that have benefited from years of experience and tests on materials, at the same time highlighting on the one hand the absolute reachable realism and on the other the possibility of truly shaping the imagination to give shape to things otherwise unattainable.
