RFB Double Sword Harness

Please note: This product is designed for young LARPers and Cosplayers, primarily with RFB sword designs in mind. The harness will not withstand heavy combat or some of the heavier LARP swords. The RFB Double Sword Harness best fits wearers who are size extra-small, small or medium.

This bestselling Ready For Battle Double Harness is a weapon-frog designed to let you carry two weapons on your back. Durable and built to withstand the abuse of extensive use, the harness is made from stiff canvas and rimmed around all edges with stitched, double-layered leather. The harness can house two weapons set through frogs attached to a back plate. Each 16 cm long frog is open at both ends and usable by a wide variety of weapons. Simply adjust its flattened leather cords through its brass eyelet-reinforced braces on the front of each frog to fit the weapon you want to use. The Double Harness is worn on the back with cotton-weave straps around each shoulder.

The harness fits most Epic Armoury weapons and is compatible with all Epic Armoury leathers. The Harness has a moderated style that will go with a multitude of characters, roles and worlds.

The Epic Armoury Sky Hook is suitable for swords with a blade up to 5.5cm in width, and with a length between 75cm and 160cm (dependant on height of the bearer), with standard crossguard hilts.

Epic Armoury’s Sky Hook offers an alternate method of carrying your weapon, providing more support than a standard waist belt. Using full-grain brown leather, this specialized baldric is designed to strap around the torso, and is both durable and attractive. The leather straps are secured across the chest in an X-design, while the scabbard itself sits at a diagonal across the back. Slide your sword or large axe through the holder, resting its tip inside the chape and its crossguard (or axe head) inside the two hooks. This design allows for easy placement and removal of your weapon quickly, while also keeping the scabbard in place while you fight.

Epic Armoury’s Shoulder Armour and Neck Guard are a set of leather armour with two spaulders and a gorget to protect the shoulders and throat. Made from vegetable-tanned full-grain leather, this armour uses overlapping plates and two small sword-breakers to deflect attacks away from the head. All exposed edges are reinforced with leather and stitching to prevent it from deforming with excessive use.

Epic Armoury’s Baal is a beautiful two-handed sword with variable grip and an extra long blade. From tip to pommel, the Baal spans a massive 140 cm, including a 100 cm long center ridged blade with a leather wrapped ricasso for half-swording techniques integral to longsword fighting in close quarters. The blade can be used with both hands on the handle, or with one hand shifted up onto the ricasso for improved control and greater maneuvering speed.

• Two-handed swords were not common until after the 13th century, gaining popularity as an infantry weapon in the 15th and 16th centuries
• Also referred to as a Zweihänder (lit. Two-Hander)
• Soldiers who trained to use these swords were called Meister des langen Schwertes (lit. Master of the Long Sword)
