The single-edge blade curves, with a false edge on the reverse side of the tip to give the blade more piercing power. It features a balanced single-edged blade, popular with cavalry and effective at chopping and slashing. The cuirass secures tight over the breast and abdomen using four sturdy leather straps--each riveted with decorative brass studs--and brass buckles.
