This White/Night Glow Fletching for Larp Arrows is designed by iDV Engineering, the leading archery crafters in the LARP industry. Created to match iDV flathead and round head arrows and bolts, this flexible white elastomer fletching is a replacement in case of wear and tear on your original. Simply slide the rubber-like tube over the end of your arrow, adding a drop of adhesive if necessary.

iDV Fletching is designed to stabilize your arrow while in flight, preventing the arrow from turning and hitting the target with the shaft or nock--a very important safety measure! For this reason, a damaged or missing fletching must be replaced before an arrow can be used.

The perfect base from which to start making your very own weapons!

This Epic Armoury Foam on Glassfiber Core is one of our DIY products used to create your own Live Action Role Playing weapon, while still benefiting from the safety of an Epic Armoury blade. The 10mm Ø glass-fibre core is 85 cm long and is strong, flexible and fitted with our Kevlar Tip protection to prevent potential accidents. A 68cm long foam block is securely fastened around the core, leaving a 17 cm gap at the end of the core for the handle. The block is 6 cm across and 2.5 cm tall, and is made from closed-celled foam that feels soft, light and durable.

Directions for use:

There are multiple methods to create your own LARP weapon, but this is one basic way that we can suggest! Carefully carve the foam block into your desired weapon shape using a knife or sandpaper. Remember to leave a safe amount of foam around the core in order to preserve its safety! When the shape you desire is achieved, clean (and dry!) and dip the weapon into latex. Allow the latex to dry between layers for a smooth, protective surface.

Coat your latex equipment with a thin layer of silicone to prevent the surface from drying out, and to prolong the lifespan of your weapon. Always check your weapon for damage before and after each use. Wrap the handle with leather or cloth for a finished look.

How do you think that we, the Swiss people, were able to keep the peace in our lands, free from invaders and wars, through all the scarring conflicts of the Renaissance? While the French were fighting with straight swords, and southerners with curved ones, we had a great advantage: their blades never reached their foes. Our halberds kept the best knights at bay, and a simple battle formation could stop the most persistent riders.

The solution was really that simple. Put a longer shaft behind the blade, and you’ll stay alive longer. With our halberds, we will surely be able to keep the peace in our lands for centuries to come!

Workshop

Calimacil’s halberd head gets revamped! Safe as always with its almost indestructible foam, softer than regular Calimacil weapons, its appearance becomes more realistic than ever, with a forged metal texture and steel-coloured blade. Some silver highlights complete the illusion. It is possible to mount this halberd head on multiple shafts, like bamboo and PVC, so any character can be at home with one of these weapons.

The best defence in life means nothing if it is eaten away by time and the elements, or even attacked from the inside.
And so it is with your own armour!
Humidity, expansion and contraction in the heat, UV radiation, rain, and the withering blows of your enemies all conspire to expose your armour to rust, but worse yet, your very own precious bodily fluids conspire to corrode it from the inside with their impurities and corruption! (which is why we only ever drink pure grain alcohol or rainwater)

You could coat your armour (and other metal objects) in a regular run of the mill lubricant, but many of them are actively hydrophobic. Great for metal but terrible for leather, cotton and other organic materials!

Lanox MX4 is a lanolin rich lubricant, and lanolin is the oil that is naturally produced by sheep to prevent them from shrinking in the rain and generally remain weather proof! It is superior to many artificial compounds and does not damage leathers or organic fibres.
