Hard EVA Foam - 3x500x1000mm

This Epic Armoury Hard Foam is one of our DIY products used to create your own Live Action Role Playing weapons, shields, or armour. This particular 3x500x1000mm sheet is dense and harder to bend, making it perfect for fine details on top of our softer foam. This product is made from closed-celled foam that does not tear, feels light and durable, and has great memory after being molded.

Directions for use:

There are multiple methods to creating a LARP weapon, but here are the basics when using our hard Epic Foam! Carve and heat the foam into your desired shape. Attach it to our softer foam or use it as detail pieces on costuming or armour. Remember to leave a safe amount of foam around the core of a weapon in order to preserve its safety. When the shape you desire is achieved, dip the weapon into latex and allow to dry between layers for a smooth, protective surface.

Coat your latex equipment with a thin layer of silicone to prevent the surface from drying out, and to prolong the lifespan of your weapon. Always check your weapon for damage before and after each use. Wrap the handle with leather or cloth for a finished look.

This Epic Armoury Clear Latex is one of our DIY products used to create or repair your own Live Action Role Playing weapon. Made from natural rubber, this latex comes in a 1000 ml bottle and can be used to coat your completed foam weapon with a protective and aesthetically pleasing clear coating. This larger bottle is also a good option if you are looking to create small molds or gore prosthetics.

Directions for use:

There are multiple methods when creating wound prosthetics, but here is one way to create a gaping cut! Using a clean surface--like a sculpted form of your face or a plastic cylinder to represent a limb--build layers of thin latex by brushing each layer on, allowing it to dry before applying another. In order to build it up to look like the skin has been cut, add layers of gauze to the latex and then cut it, opening the hole to create your preferred look before sealing it with more latex. When you’ve added 4-6 layers of latex, allow it to cure overnight before peeling it off its surface and painting it with our Water-Based makeup to match your skin. Add our Blood Effect liquid to your new wound after you glue it to your skin using our safe to use Spirit Gum!

This Epic Armoury Glassfiber Core is one of our DIY products used to create your own Live Action Role Playing weapon, while still benefiting from the safety of an Epic Armoury blade. This 8mm Ø glass-fibre core is 80 cm long and is strong and flexible.

Directions for use:

There are multiple methods to creating a LARP weapon, but here are the basics! Carve closed-cell foam into your desired weapon shape and secure it around a clean and sanded Glassfiber Core. The glue will grip a sanded core better and improve durability of your new weapon. Remember to leave a safe amount of foam around the core in order to preserve its safety! When the shape you desire is achieved, dip the weapon into latex and allow to dry between layers for a smooth, protective surface.

This Epic Armoury Foam on Glassfiber Core is one of our DIY products used to create your own Live Action Role Playing weapon, while still benefiting from the safety of an Epic Armoury blade. The 10mm Ø glass-fibre core is 85 cm long and is strong, flexible and fitted with our Kevlar Tip protection to prevent potential accidents. A 68cm long foam block is securely fastened around the core, leaving a 17 cm gap at the end of the core for the handle. The block is 6 cm across and 2.5 cm tall, and is made from closed-celled foam that feels soft, light and durable.

There are multiple methods to create your own LARP weapon, but this is one basic way that we can suggest! Carefully carve the foam block into your desired weapon shape using a knife or sandpaper. Remember to leave a safe amount of foam around the core in order to preserve its safety! When the shape you desire is achieved, clean (and dry!) and dip the weapon into latex.
