One Thursday evening in 2002, at a party for roleplayers, SFX specialist Kristoffer Benzon was shown an English-produced latex sword. Five minutes later, he proclaimed to that he could do it better, and that if this was the standard, he would create the best latex weapons the world had seen. I remember the evening well - since I was there and was one of those who laughed the hardest. I stopped laughing years ago and instead starting buying - and I wasn't the only one. Because what began as a dream in Kristoffer's head soon turned into the business venture that is Palnatoke, and before long Kristoffer and his partner in dreams Kim Fenger were producing swords from their workshop at Krimsvej. And even though the world of roleplaying has evolved immensely since 2002, Palnatoke has never once left its place at the front of the field when it comes to producing latex weapons.
Never go into battle before first tasting your favorite ale. That is the advice you would give any of your fellow Dwarves, for you never know when this may be your last fight.
You slam your Battle Axe onto the table as you await the finest dark ale you know. The tavern was quiet before you walked inside, tense with the anticipation of a coming war, but you are loud and bring life back to its walls. You raise a toast to the barkeep and to any nearby, granting them glory on the battlefield before drinking deeply from your mug.
It would be a true shame to leave this world while thirsty.
You are laughing too loud. You realize it must be scaring your enemy, because no one wants to face you on the frontline anymore. They think you are crazed. Maybe you are, because the adrenaline of being in a battle has left you feeling drunk with exhilaration.
If no one will come to you, it’s time to bring the fight to them! One poor soldier desperately strikes at you and you feel the thud of his sword against your armour, but it hardly makes a scratch. You see the terror in his eyes as your laugh fills the field and you bring the strength of your Viking Short Axe down upon him.
You are Raynor Ironshood. Let them fear you. Let them all fear you.
