In 1984 Morbid Masks Studios began manufacturing Latex Masks and Special Effects.
In 2008 Morbid Masks Studios stopped production of all Masks, especially it's ever popular Thin Skin Latex Masks. This was because the supplier of the special paint that gave Morbid Masks their unique characteristics terminated supply for good. The whole process relied on this paint and no other alternatives were comparable. The moulds were redundant and could not be stored; nearly all were thrown away. So ended an era.
In 2012 a new supply of paint had been found and Morbid Masks was resurrected,
Apart from our regular range of latex rubber ears, noses, horns and facial features, we also currently make tbree designs of Live Role Play Fighting Claws, our latest Cat Claw design now available. Plus we have re-introduced an old GRP (fibreglass) Skull Helm in several colours and sizes.
Almost all LARP weapons are made from a foam that is then covered in a plasticised acrylic-latex paint. If not maintained, this paint eventually dries out and can flake or crack. To avoid, a silicon outer coat is applied to all weapons but is slowly worn off as the weapon strikes other weapons, shields and armour. Maintenance spray ensures your weapons are kept in the best condition possible by reinforcing this silicon layer and keeping the PAX paint underneath it moist and supple. It should be applied after every combat, or at least once a month.
Available in 150ml or 400ml spray packs, and a 250ml pump pack.
When hurling vegetables isn't enough, but flaming torches and pitch forks are too far...
Please note that these are technically not designed as LARP weaponry, and just happen to be made from the same foam as throwing weapons. Your local game marshals may not approve these fish. For maximum chance of approval, we recommend removal of the eyes. Ia F'taghn.
Also note: These fish are not necessarily biologically-accurate representations of the fish they are named after, and may vary from the image shown. They are more, inspired by fish than replicas of specific fish. If you require a specific type of fish (that's accurately that fish type), please contact us and we can send you a photo of the fish prior to sending your order.
