Rugged Canvas Jerkin

A sleeveless jerkin by Epic Armoury, constructed from 100% cotton light canvas with a chrome leather shoulder reinforcement. The contrast between the canvas body and leather yoke gives the jerkin a layered, utilitarian look, while the decorative hand stitching across the body and back adds visual texture throughout.

The front closes with three leather cord ties, each anchored through a stitched leather tab on either side. The silhouette is fitted through the torso with a short pleated skirt at the hem, allowing freedom of movement without bulk.

The tabard "Justus" is made of soft suede. It is tied on the sides with leather laces. So it can be adjusted individually to the size of its wearer. For more mobility, the jerkin is dagged at the front and back. "Justus" is a wind-proof and robust coating with many combination possibilities. It is expandable with hoods and collars, wears well under a leather armour or over a chain mail. With this jerkin as a base, many costume ideas can be realized.

As you infiltrate the palace, you pass the gates completely unnoticed in your Dorian Vest. Had the guards seen you, you’d be caught and locked away as a wanted thief and killer. Thankfully, due to your skill, you are a no more than a shadow.

The grounds are massive, but you find your target strolling in one of the gardens. There are a few guards nearby, but they won’t be difficult to dispatch quietly. For a such a talented assassin, this is merely an easy stroll through the park.

Reaching from the shoulders to the waist and made from soft, dyed cotton, this vest can be a costume all by itself--or work as a layer in a more complicated design. This pretty armour vest is a very special eyecatcher. It is made of hemmed and braided leather strips, that are riveted at each single crosspoint. Through this, its surface is getting very stabile and almost like a brigantine. It is very flexible and hardly hinders your movements, but it gives good protection for your body.

It is suitable for light soldiers and especially for bow- or crossbow-men, as you can move around freely and a your arms are uncovered.

As seen in our costume proposal, the vest can be well combined with chainmail or a chainmail collar. It also fits over a gambeson. Additionally it can be extended into a suit of heavy armour by adding some pieces of plate armour.

There are two different sizes of this vest, but it can be easily adjusted with the three lateral buckles.

The Owl Leather Jerkin is made of grey split leather, high quality patched leather and synthetic fur on the collar and shoulders. The closing system, with leather cord, is comfortable, easy and very resistant. Does not include the accessories shown in the photos.
