Epic Armoury’s Troy Helmet is a steel helmet inspired by the armour worn by the ancient hoplites. Featuring a horsehair plumed crest and protective cheek- and nasal-guards, this round steel-capped helmet is both impressive and practical. The shape of the helmet provides exceptional protection while granting the wearer clear vision.

Epic Armoury’s Dark Drake Breastplate is a finely sculpted piece of armour that protects the front of the torso, chest and abdomen. Sculpted to fit the body and add structural strength to the steel, this galvanized steel piece has been decorated to mimic reptilian scales. The plate rests at the hips and has a V-shaped flange--or sword turner--that deflects blows from the weak spot where torso and leg armour fit together. This bestselling armour is made for the upper crust of the battlefield, featuring front and backplates, faulds and tassets. The breast plate has a central crease and ridges around the rim. The armour is a close fit to the arms and throat to minimize the number of weak spots. The matching breast and backplates extend below the abdomen, connecting to the tassets beneath the protection of the faulds: a series of overlapping, modelled metal plates protecting the weak spots at the pelvis.

Epic Armoury’s Dark Drake Upper Leg are tassets designed to protect the thigh and groin. The style is late medieval with rolled edged metal plates overlapping each other. Two sets of steel plates hang from the hips to cover the outer thighs. A third set of slimmer plates cover the groin area and provide some protection to the inner thighs. The set comes with a leather belt with suspenders to keep the piece in place.
