Almost all LARP weapons are made from a foam that is then covered in a plasticised acrylic-latex paint. If not maintained, this paint eventually dries out and can flake or crack. To avoid, a silicon outer coat is applied to all weapons but is slowly worn off as the weapon strikes other weapons, shields and armour. Maintenance spray ensures your weapons are kept in the best condition possible by reinforcing this silicon layer and keeping the PAX paint underneath it moist and supple. It should be applied after every combat, or at least once a month.
Available in 150ml or 400ml spray packs, and a 250ml pump pack.
You use the silence as a cloak of armour, masked in the darkness with the help of your Mempo, waiting for the perfect opportunity. You ready your throwing knives, ready to launch your deadly attack when the lord finally emerges from inside the keep. One quick flick of your wrist and the lord breathes his last, you knife hitting its mark...and you vanish, leaving their guards bewildered and afraid.
Your Dai Katana was handed to you by your master, many years ago. It had been a bittersweet moment for you, because while it meant you had overcome all obstacles in your training, it also meant that it was time to set out on your own.
You find the handle comforting, your hand finding its usual well-worn grip. As a traveling samurai--a ronin--your sword is your only consistent companion.
You look beyond the campfire where a fresh fish now cooks, sizzling in the heat, looking to the flickering shadows along the treeline. You have the sense that tonight you and your sword may once again be tested as you hear the unmistakable snap of a twig, your grip on the sword tightening in anticipation.
Since 2001 the Forgotten Dreams Design-Studio (FDD), managed by Philipp Heidtkamp in Regensburg-Germany, produces LARP-Weapons, Fantasy costumes, props and scenery for Live Action Role Playing (LARP), Theatre, Film- and TV productions. In the beginning there was just the possibility to produce single pieces and custom-made Larpswords and Larpshields, but today FDD is able to offer eight different series of varying styles (kinds). Over the Years the Forgotten Dreams Design Studio advanced to be one of the biggest producers of foam weapons in the world. FDD foam weapons are made in Germany and can be found on countless events, medieval shops and Larp-shops, as well as wholesale and retail industries in Germany and are sold by a global network of Larp sellers. However, the Design Studio never lost it's touch and it's regard to the customer and the Gamer. Aside the series for retailers, each client has the possibility to own his individual and custom-made Larp-sword.
