The morning mists swirled around their feet as the dwarf grumbled about trying to get his autoflint to light his pipe. The Sonnerlander resented his presence but put up with it. They were good fighters. He continued to shield his eyes against he morning sun as he scanned the eastern approach to the village wall.
"So what intends to kill us this time?" Segur inquired of the brightly coloured stilt.
"I don't know, but ?I reckon there'll be some complaints about it to the management as soon as it tries."
