Update to Delivery Procedures

We have just been informed by our courier broker, Interparcel, that they have been in discussion with many of the courier services they use and a common set of procedures is being rolled out throughout the delivery industry.

Beginning this week and until the crisis is over the new procedures are basically as follows:

  1. Deliver the parcel to the doorstep, or at reception
  2. Ring the doorbell (or reception bell), and the driver will wait for the recipient of the parcel to attend;
  3. Leave the parcel in a safe location, if the delivery location is unattended;
  4. Or return the parcel to the depot and delivery will be rescheduled, if there is no safe place to leave the parcel.

This is to protect both you, the recipient, and the delivery staff - many of whom are private contractors and can afford to take a prolonged period of time off sick about as much as you can.

If you think that this will in any way affect your delivery Interparcel says you may contact their customer support team via email on [email protected] - please ensure you include your tracking number in your email.
