Farhad wiped the blood from his shamshir. "Another lot of those damned Northern fools, Darab my friend" he sighed. "Perhaps they do not understand the ferocity of us Hashishin, and how we must protect it from them at all costs." Darab stretched his Dervish Spear across his shoulders to work the stiffness from his shoulders, looking grim at the senselessness of the blood they had all just spilt upon the desert sands. "They will never have it, Farhad. They will never enter the Juice Vault."
STYLE AND FUNCTION COMBINED
Epic Armoury's Dastan Gambeson is a padded long-sleeve coat covering the torso from neck, down over the hips and thighs all the way down to the shin both on the front and back. It can be worn on its own or serve as essential padding under mail or armour. The gambeson is donned like a jacket and closed on the front with straps, allowing the wearer to customize the tightness of the fit. The shoulders are easily detachable by untying its cotton cords on the shoulders and sleeves, each cord secured through long-lasting brass eyelets. The gambeson design is created with a two-colour design in mind, giving a splash of colour to it.
Heavily inspired by persian soldiers, who wielded clotheswith shapes very similar to this gambeson
Thick enough to serve as its own armour, this sturdy gambeson is constructed with heavy layers of fluffed cotton canvas sandwiched between dyed wool on the outside and softer cotton lining on the inside. All these layers are stitched together in vertical lines, keeping the padding in place.
Available in Epic Black/Dark Blue and Off White/Desert Beige and Dark Red/Epic Black and sizes Small/Medium, Large/X-Large and 2X-Large
Epic Armoury’s Persian Helmet is your solution for complete head protection. Inspired by ancient Asian armour, this helmet is made of 1 mm thick mild steel and features a tall bowled head with a pointed crest that has been capped with a decorative plate. A nasal guard extends up over the forehead and offers great protection to the face without limiting too much visibility, and it creates an impressive silhouette on the battlefield. It can be removed by loosening the front bolt.
A full chainmail aventail provides protection to both the neck and the face, and is hooked directly onto the helmet and around a strong band of metal that forms the two eye holes. These holes are wide for visibility! The chainmail is lined with leather around the eyes and in the front for comfort and to keep the links in place.
Secure the Persian Helmet by tightening the leather strap beneath the chin, keeping the helmet in place. An Off-White Persian Headband is included with your helmet, and can be strapped around the helmet’s crown and attached to the back using four holes in the metal.
Inspired by the Khula Khud
An aventail is a veil of chainmail that attaches to the helmet and offers protection; it replaced the chainmail hood coif by the 14th century
Khula Khuds were a type of helmet used by ancient western Asia, and included the use of an aventail
Also very similar to a conical shaped Turban Helmet worn in the Ottoman Empire
The Morion helmet sits comfortably on your head as you march, faithful to its master despite the challenges. It has been a long and dusty road, but that helmet has remained with you through it all.
As your infantry unit comes to a halt, there is the tension one always feels before the fight. You resist the anxiety, because the moment you step into battle all of that must fade away. It will be you fighting alongside your fellow soldiers, and it will be your trustworthy armour that keeps you alive.
Epic Armoury’s Morion is a steel helmet inspired by the 15th- to 16th-century Spanish conquistadors conquering the world for Gold, God and Glory. The Morion’s brim is shaped to protect the head and face without obstructing vision, curved along the front and back. The skull-cap is reinforced with a long comb running from the forehead along the helmet’s apex. Riveted cheek guards are fitted to the helmet, adding additional protection to the face.
Secure the Morion by tightening the leather strap beneath the chin, keeping the helmet in place. Made of 1 mm thick mild steel and top-grain leather straps and fittings, this armour piece is built to withstand the abuse of a LARP or reenactment with regular leather and metal armour care.
