The chainmail coif is the classic piece of armour for any warrior. 

This coif is made from round rings and woven in the classic european 4-in-1 pattern. The flaps cover neck and the upper part of the wearers shoulders.

Each single ring is riveted shut and can only be opened with great force (or the right tools).

NO GUTS NO GLORY!

The Barbarian hordes were no strangers to use fear as a weapon, and the more intimidating you looked when engaging in battle, the better. Replicate that wild and savage look, doing the Barbarian style proud with Epic Armoury's Gut Plate. The Gut Plate features plating made from three ridged steel plates--or lames--overlaying one another and a central plate to provide laminate protection of the gut. The vegetable tanned leather belt is made from two smaller, embossed leather belts slipped through a wide brace, providing a secure fit that will remain fixed over your costume. THE WARRIORS OF THE NORTH SHALL NEVER SURRENDER

Epic Armoury’s Dreki is a Imposing and rugged piece of armour protecting the front and back of the torso and abdomen. Consisting of overlapping steel plates that forms a breastplate and an attached steel backplate, this armour is sculpted to fit the body after securing the leather straps at the shoulders and around the sides of your frame comfortably. LEGEND

Everyone knows the story of the enchanted axe Ymir, the one that allowed Odin to defeat the ice giant of the same name. This ferocious weapon was later stolen by Loki. But few people know that the OdinAxe was created as a tribute to the god of gods to highlight this legendary fight against the giant.

This eponymously named Norse weapon embodies the pride and combat prowess of a fearsome warrior. In addition to the Celtic wolves on its blade, its handle features the symbols of Odin, namely his 2 crows Huginn and Muninn. On the pommel, we find a Valknut, the heart of Hrungnir, the knot of the dead and the knot of Odin. Linked to it, this symbol of three and nine evokes valor and death (in the sense of the liberation of the soul) and the roots of Yggdrasil (in the sense of the interconnection of the nine worlds of the Norse religion).

Thus, it is not surprising to find such a weapon among the arsenal of several factions of Scandinavian warriors. Its symbolism is energizing and even phenomenal, it is simply a fantastic creation.

Epic Armoury’s Viking Mask Helmet is a skull cap helmet inspired by the Vikings of the 10th century. The “spectacle” guard over the eyes provides great protection for the face while still allowing the wearer good vision. Reinforced with rivets, a combed apex, and a steel band around the rim, you can expect this helmet to stand up against the Roman Empire and its inferior states.

Secure the Viking Mask Helmet by tightening the leather strap beneath the chin, keeping the helmet in place. Humidity, expansion and contraction in the heat, UV radiation, rain, and the withering blows of your enemies all conspire to expose your armour to rust, but worse yet, your very own precious bodily fluids conspire to corrode it from the inside with their impurities and corruption! (which is why we only ever drink pure grain alcohol or rainwater)

You could coat your armour (and other metal objects) in a regular run of the mill lubricant, but many of them are actively hydrophobic. Great for metal but terrible for leather, cotton and other organic materials!

Lanox MX4 is a lanolin rich lubricant, and lanolin is the oil that is naturally produced by sheep to prevent them from shrinking in the rain and generally remain weather proof! It is superior to many artificial compounds and does not damage leathers or organic fibres.

This classic 4-in-1 pattern short-sleeved chain mail was built for average sized adults. It is wide enough to be worn on top of a padded gambeson.

The sleeves cover some 2/3 of the arms - still being considered a short sleeve chain mail - and reaches down to the middle of your thigh.

We suggest to wear this chain mail with an average chest circumference from 90cm to 120cm, once gambeson is factored in. This way it can be worn in combination with a padded gambeson and can extend itself to a maximum width of 140cm circumference. A belt can help to distribute the weight properly.

The shiny version is fully galvanized and does not rust. Oiled and browned chainmails are ungalvanized and are supplied with a high lubrication. Please remove the excess oil before first use.

Ungalvanized chain shirts should be treated regularly with oil like Lannox MX4.

FORGE YOUR OWN MAIL

Epic Armoury's Chainmail DIY Sheet is a sheet of chainmail, for those of you who would like to create your own mail-based gear. delivered in a square sheet, you can cut it, clip it, melt it, to your hearts content and create whatever you can imagine. You can rest assured that these chainmail sheets are of the same high quality as the ones used for our chainmails. Treated with a protective layer of oil, this should be removed before use.

The chain links are 9mm and are made from 1mm / 19 gauge mild steel.
