Epic Armoury’s Landsknecht Pants are styled leggings with baggy thighs and vertically cut colours, most often associated with the wealthy men and German Landsknecht mercenaries of the Renaissance period. Made from durable light canvas and soft cotton lining, these pants are extra wide above the knees before mimicking leggings, easily fit inside your boots and leg armour. Adjust the fabric around the calves by tightening its reinforced cotton cord to get the best fit.

The pants are fitted with a heavy cotton cord drawstring and metal buttons at the waist to keep the pants in place while leaving sufficient room for a proper belt. The pants also have pockets.
Please note that there are decorative stitches in the pleating to keep the product in prime condition prior to sale. For comfort and longevity some customers may need to unpick the stitch on the front and side of the thighs.

The Landsknecht Pants are fully compatible with Epic Armoury's other clothes and armours, and the style will fit with a broad variety of characters.

Epic Armoury’s Landsknecht Rondel is a solid 46 cm. dagger inspired by the mercenary Landsknechts of the Hansa State era. Whether your LARP-character is a conniving scoundrel who's trade is skulduggery & espionage or simply just a rogue on the run, this dagger is for you. It features a 28 cm. blade with a central ridge and a fine wood-like handle protected by a cross guard in the shape of a twisted bronze ring. The bronze coloured pommel is rounded, designed as a basic interpretation of a knight’s “rondel dagger”. When fighting enemies close-quarter in heavy plate armour, daggers like this would have been used to force between the joints.

Special care has been taken to ensure that our LARP weapons are safe. This dagger was constructed around a solid fibreglass rod core and a flexible kevlar tip to prevent punctures. Its latex finish requires some maintenance to maximize its use and your wellbeing.

The "Jörg" doublet is a bicoloured, slit jacket made along historical patterns of the legendary lansquenet mercenaries. It is not certain, where this fashion originated from, but historians suggest, that lansquenets started cutting their clothing, for it was too tight for them to fight in them. This is, how this fashion came along with the famous mercenaries. The doublet is elaboratly cut and made from robust, high quality canvas material. It allows a very free movement when fighting. The five antique finished brass buttons in the front allow the doublet to be closed on cooler days. The lacing along the sleeves leads to the typical buffy look of the lansquenet fashion.

This doublet may not only be used for the reenactment of lansquenet, they are also well suited for nobility, merchants or pirates costumes.

These pants are the perfect complement to our Gustav jacket. Both in combination are modeled on military dresses of the 15th and 16th centuries. The pants themselves are closed with a lashing strap at the hip, but can also accommodate a belt. For this we have attached belt loops. Lansquenets (Landsknecht in German) were ferocious mercenaries from the fifteenth and sixteenth century, oftenly German, having a big reputation for their efficiency but also their brutality.

Dressed in a flamboyant style typical of the Renaissance, the majority were pikemen, but the Elite Doppelsöldner were the most feared for the carnage their halberds and large two handed broad swords. eaved in their path.

In addition to the large, low hats crowned with large feathers and doublets with puffed sleeves., The lansquenets adopted tights of different colors and developed a style by cutting their doublet to draw "folds" of shirt through. This outfit expressing arrogance and non-conformity had a major influence on the fashion of the Renaissance.

These two-tone, lansquenet split trousers are made from durable light coton and cut in a very elaborate pattern. The waist contains a thick drawstring on the inside that is used to tie the pants tightly to the wearer's body. The belt is further closed by buttons on the front that will finish to maintain it.

The wide thighs allow for ample leg movements and the tightened at the hips and ankles adds to the support and gives the typical lansquenets look. These pants can not only be used for lansquenet reconstruction, but are also suitable for nobility, merchants or pirate costumes.
