Epic Armoury’s Landsknecht Rondel is a solid 46 cm. dagger inspired by the mercenary Landsknechts of the Hansa State era. Whether your LARP-character is a conniving scoundrel who's trade is skulduggery & espionage or simply just a rogue on the run, this dagger is for you. It features a 28 cm. blade with a central ridge and a fine wood-like handle protected by a cross guard in the shape of a twisted bronze ring. The bronze coloured pommel is rounded, designed as a basic interpretation of a knight’s “rondel dagger”. When fighting enemies close-quarter in heavy plate armour, daggers like this would have been used to force between the joints.

Special care has been taken to ensure that our LARP weapons are safe. This dagger was constructed around a solid fibreglass rod core and a flexible kevlar tip to prevent punctures. Its latex finish requires some maintenance to maximize its use and your wellbeing.

The Single Cotton Hose from Epic Armoury is a typical example of medieval fashion worn throughout the middle ages and renaissance period. This rough cotton hose is sold by the unit so you may personalize the look of your Larp character by mixing colors. Epic Armoury’s Epic Black Cape Aramis is a hip-length caplet with a high collar and decorative cord fastening. The design is meant to offer a top layer of glamour that can be worn over one or both shoulders. Made from black cotton and cut to include extra billowing fabric, this cape is embellished with a detailed gold and black trim. Its fine appearance makes for a great accessory for a variety of Renaissance or fantasy costumes, especially nobility or musketeers.

The Cape Aramis is an elegant cut with three slits for the arms to slide through depending on how it is worn. Secure the cape around the neck or across the chest by tying the long satin cord.

Epic Armoury’s Dark Grey Doublet Aramis is a snug-fitting long-sleeved jacket designed to give shape to the male body. This doublet covers the torso to the hips and can be worn beneath armour or cloak thanks to the embroidered eyelets along the chest and upper back. The doublet is donned like a jacket and closed on the front with a system of cords, allowing the wearer to customize the tightness of the fit. The sleeves are easily detachable by untying the cords beneath the decorative shoulder tabs, each cord secured through long-lasting brass eyelets.

Thick enough to provide some warmth, this sturdy doublet is constructed with layers of wool and satin. All these layers are stitched together in slimming lines, keeping the doublet form-fitting and mimicking a rich Tudor style.

Epic Armoury’s Brown Falcon Gloves are leather gloves with long cuffs to protect the forearm. They are made from brown dyed leather with two suede fingers. All joints around the fingers, wrists and edges are stitched, improving the strength of the material by preventing it from deforming with heavy use or from exposure to the environment. The fit of the gloves can be adjusted with leather lacing along the side of the cuff.

These gloves are fully compatible with other Epic Armoury metal and leather items. Their low-fantasy look and moderate style can be used with a multitude of settings, allowing freedom to create your own unique costume.

Epic Armoury’s Landsknecht Pants are styled leggings with baggy thighs and vertically cut colours, most often associated with the wealthy men and German Landsknecht mercenaries of the Renaissance period. Made from durable light canvas and soft cotton lining, these pants are extra wide above the knees before mimicking leggings, easily fit inside your boots and leg armour. Adjust the fabric around the calves by tightening its reinforced cotton cord to get the best fit.

The pants are fitted with a heavy cotton cord drawstring and metal buttons at the waist to keep the pants in place while leaving sufficient room for a proper belt. The pants also have pockets.
Please note that there are decorative stitches in the pleating to keep the product in prime condition prior to sale. For comfort and longevity some customers may need to unpick the stitch on the front and side of the thighs.

The Landsknecht Pants are fully compatible with Epic Armoury's other clothes and armours, and the style will fit with a broad variety of characters.

This is a bi-coloured pair of slitted trousers made along the fashion of the lansquenets. It is not certain where this fashion originated from, but historians suggest that lansquenets started cutting their clothing in the late 15th century for it was too tight for them to properly fight in. This would be the origin of the typical fashion these legendary mercenaries came to be known for.

The Jörg trousers are made from robust, high-quality canvas material. Their generous cut allows great freedom of movement in combat. The waistband may be closed by means of two buttons in ancient brass finish. Cotton laces give rise to the typical puffy legs of lansquenet fashion.

These trousers are not only suitable for portraying these famous lansquenets, but also for re-enacting courtiers, merchants, or pirates.

The "Jörg" doublet is a bicoloured, slit jacket made along historical patterns of the legendary lansquenet mercenaries. It is not certain, where this fashion originated from, but historians suggest, that lansquenets started cutting their clothing, for it was too tight for them to fight in them. This is, how this fashion came along with the famous mercenaries. The doublet is elaboratly cut and made from robust, high quality canvas material. It allows a very free movement when fighting. The five antique finished brass buttons in the front allow the doublet to be closed on cooler days. The lacing along the sleeves leads to the typical buffy look of the lansquenet fashion.

This doublet may not only be used for the reenactment of lansquenet, they are also well suited for nobility, merchants or pirates costumes.

Many years had passed, seeing old wars come to an end and new ones rise. When the Renaissance began, warfare was entering a great era of changes. The upbringing of firearms made heavy armor less useful, and techniques adapted. The landskenechte were one of the most recognizable trained units because of their gear: mulit-coloured puffed sleeves, gigantic berets and some of the most iconic weapons of the time. Between lances and zweihanders, landskenechte all used a much shorter sword, whose guard aided in parrying: the Katzbalger. Worn without a scabbard, it could be drawn quickly when dire times came, like when their walls of lances were rendered inefficient. It's thanks to their great training, discipline and iconic gear, like the Katzbalger, that these military men are still remembered today.

This new Katzbalger blade was forged for a more historically accurate look. With a well defined point, sharp edges, and heavier handle this sword is easy to wield and looks great. Still made of our famous Calimacil foam, it stays safe and extremely durable. Steel-coloured, the blade sits atop of a silver handle with tarnished gold details. your choice of removable guard, the same as our katanas' tsubas, make this sword more versatile and easier to store.

Characters

The Katzbalger sword absolutely must be part of historical reenactors' outfits, especially those of the Renaissance. Tragic heroes will appreciate its theatrical aspect, as will some fighters and duelists who's styles and panache can't be matched.
