Khopesh Knife

The Khopesh (also vocalized khepesh) is an Egyptian sickle-sword that evolved from battle axes.

A typical khopesh is 50–60 cm in length, though smaller examples do also exist. The blunted edge of the weapon's tip also served as an effective bludgeon, as well as a hook. These weapons changed from bronze to iron in the New Kingdom period. The earliest known depiction of a khopesh is from the Stele of Vultures, depicting King Eannatum of Lagash wielding the weapon; this would date the khopesh to at least 2500 BC.

Epic Armoury’s Khopesh is a ancient egyptian inspired, 37 cm curved blade. It has no cross-guard, but does have a fine coreless pommel. The sharp organic features takes heavy inspiration from the Khopesh of Ancient Egypt. Made from durable closed cell foam around a fibreglass core and finished with a strong latex coating, you can feel confident that your LARP weapon will provide the safety and appeal you want when crafting your LARP kit.

HISTORY

• Originally the khopesh were made of bronze but were later found in iron
• A khopesh were made to be a slashing and blunt weapon and due to it’s heavy nature it could be used for both.
• Curved is especially effective for slashing (instead of stabbing) in combat

The alarm bell sounds from the town while you are working in the field, and there isn’t enough warning for the farmers to find safety before the raiders are upon you. All you have is your scythe, and it is this that you clench in your calloused and worn hands as they descend.

Epic Armoury’s War Scythe is a 60 cm latex short axe with a 20 cm blade. The weapon is entirely handpainted with wood-grain and metal finishes. The blade is angled and designed to match the realism of the traditionally shaped handle, with a deadly hook at the end inspired by the weapons that could rip through armour...as well as more obvious farmer’s tool!

Epic Armoury’s Polished Steel Persian Greaves is a set of steel leg protection designed to protect the shins and calves. Formed to the shin and connected by chainmail, these greaves are designed to sit comfortably over the shins while leaving room for poleyns to cover the kneecaps. They reach from below the knee and narrow around the ankles, and are secured with two adjustable top-grain leather straps. The chainmail and back plate further protect the calves, giving your legs full coverage.

The Persian Greaves are designed to match Epic Armoury’s Roman collection, but can be mixed and matched to fit your character’s unique costume. The Bazuband is a compromise between the discomfort of gauntlets and the mobility of demi-gauntlets, providing comfort and the freedom of movement you desire. Make a Statement

Epic Armoury’s Dark Red Persian Headband is cloth headwear inspired by the turbans of ancient Asia, designed to keep the sweat out of your face while looking particularly epic. Made of beautiful linen-like red crepé, we have crafted this headband so that it looks like it has been artfully bound and twisted--without the hassle of doing it yourself! There are two main layers of fabric to make this possible. First, there is an outer decorative layer that gives this headband its appearance and shape, with excess fabric hanging down the back of the neck. Attached beneath this outer layer, a comfortable crepé band sits against the forehead and keeps the decorative fabric in place.

Wearing the Persian Head Band is easy. Loop the included ties through the eyelets at the back of the band and tie them together, adjusting to fit around the crown of your own head or helmet. There is also a square sized hole in the front of the inner band designed to fit over the Persian Helmet’s nasal guard bolt.

Fear No One

Epic Armoury’s Polished Steel Persian Helmet is your solution for complete head protection. Inspired by ancient Asian armour, this helmet is made of 1 mm thick mild steel and features a tall bowled head with a pointed crest that has been capped with a decorative plate. A nasal guard extends up over the forehead and offers great protection to the face without limiting too much visibility, and it creates an impressive silhouette on the battlefield. It can be removed by loosening the front bolt.

A full chainmail aventail provides protection to both the neck and the face, and is hooked directly onto the helmet and around a strong band of metal that forms the two eye holes. These holes are wide for visibility! The chainmail is lined with leather around the eyes and in the front for comfort and to keep the links in place.

Secure the Persian Helmet by tightening the leather strap beneath the chin, keeping the helmet in place. An Off-White Persian Headband is included with your helmet, and can be strapped around the helmet’s crown and attached to the back using four holes in the metal.

Inspired by the Khula Khud

• An aventail is a veil of chainmail that attaches to the helmet and offers protection; it replaced the chainmail hood coif by the 14th century
• Khula Khuds were a type of helmet used by ancient western Asia, and included the use of an aventail
• Also very similar to a conical shaped Turban Helmet worn in the Ottoman Empire

Epic Armoury’s Char-a'ina Epic Dark is a simple low-fantasy, historically based piece of armour protecting the front and back of the torso and abdomen, that has its origin in Persia, modern day Iran. Using four plates, one on the front, back and sides, the Char-a'ina held together by full grain straps that criss cross arcross your back and can be tightend and loosend between your sides.

The large blank areas on the Char-a'ina is perfect for those of you who wishes to add a personal ingraving to your armour, as this was also a historical tendency for those who wore it, during its heyday.

HISTORY

• Char-a'ina translates as "four mirror", referring to the four plates that compose this type of armour.
• The historical examples that survive to today are usually those of noblemen, highly detailed and engraved with scenes of from the lives of those that wore them.
• Our version is an amalgemation of the different designs rather than one specific, in order to create a more general look.

As his assailant reeled Samuel shoved him off and sprang to his feet. Quickly grabbing his templar shield, he delivered a swift kick to the ribs and then ran inside the building.  
"For the Sovereign!" Samuel roared "Juice Vault!"

WOULD YOU SACRIFICE YOUR LIFE FOR THE PHARAOH?

Whether your LARP-character is a loyal soldier or a treacherous backstabbing priest, it is written in stone and hieroglyphs, that the Epic Armoury Desert Dagger is the perfect knife for you. Even though it bears a remarkable resemblance to the ceremonial knife, that was found in the tomb of the great pharaoh Tutankhamun's, this dagger is not made of any extraterrestrial material. It is in fact made from durable closed cell foam around a fibreglass core and finished with a strong latex coating that will withstand LARP combat and abuse. The 28 cm knife has a two-edged blade with a central ridge, no crossguard and a flattened pommel, and the handle is wrapped in leather, trimmed with a single, fine gold line. • The Ancient Egyptians used daggers for self-protection, close quarter combat & warfare, but they were also pieces of adornment or ceremonial objects
• In ancient Egypt, daggers were usually made of copper or bronze, while royalty had gold weapons

Typically 50–60 cm in length, the inside curve of the weapon could be used to trap an opponent's arm, or to pull an opponent's shield out of the way. These weapons changed from bronze to iron in the New Kingdom period. The earliest known record of a Khopesh would date the weapon to at least 2500 BC.

Katanas, Scimitars and Sabres are among the most beautiful, most loved and most historically significant swords around. So, it’s no surprise that at nearly every LARP event, many people lament that no one makes curved swords. Those days are gone. When Davos warns it will be dangerous and that he should take one of the swords in the shop, Gendry points out he was never taught to fight properly, and is only good with a war-hammer, which retrieving from the back of the shop a war hammer, a maul with a stag's head design on either side of the haft socket (likely forged himself and referencing his Baratheon roots)
