Epic Armoury’s Hand Axe is a realistic latex axe designed to serve as a weapon or prop in the hands of almost any character. The axe’s head is 15 cm long and handpainted to look like iron. The 55 cm haft is sculpted and handpainted to look like dark wood, detailed to appear rough and worn from use.

Made from durable closed cell foam around a fibreglass core and finished with a strong latex coating, you can feel confident that your LARP weapon will provide the safety and appeal you want when crafting your kit.

Epic Armoury’s Haxe is a deadly 85 cm axe designed for a cunning fighter. It has a 16 cm long axe-blade and an opposite hammerhead for the most effective fight against armour. The head is hand painted to look like real metal embellished with engraved crosses, and it is made of safe, soft foam. The bladed head attaches to the shaft which is hand painted and sculpted to look like matching, ridged metal. The 12 cm grip at the end of the Haxe is wrapped in suede leather for appearance and comfort.

Before the invaders came, you and your tribe made tools using sharpened stone. Now that the strange people have brought with them metal, you have upgraded your tools and weaponry. The edge of your new Tomahawk gleams in the light of your campfire.

Epic Armoury’s Tomahawk is a 56cm one-handed axe inspired by the Native American weapon resembling a hatchet. These weapons were both used as a tool and throwing axe (although we do not recommend throwing this one!), and also as a general hand-to-hand combat weapon. It has a 22 cm long axe-head with an 8 cm tall blade, hand painted to look like real metal, notched with wear. The head is actually made of soft foam, reinforced with a harder foam core. It attaches to the realistic 45 cm grip which is hand painted and sculpted to look like real wood grain. The grip has also been sculpted to look like it’s been decoratively notched with arrow marks.

Legend

The legend says that, during the ritual to crown him king, Baruk Otrygson broke the centuries-old tradition of the king using the ancestral sword, linked to his title. Wanting to show everyone he was bringing change to this world, he had himself made a new weapon to become the sign of royalty and power: an axe.
A few opposed such decision, but the Viking’s iron will made them bend the knee one after the other. He wanted to show that he would be able to bring great change and good to their community. With this axe to his side, he achieved the feats that he is now known for.

Workshop

The updated Baruk axe features a steel head with a silver edge and a cross of bright gold. Its simple wood-like handle is light brown. The whole weapon is made of our safe and durable Calimacil foam, for years of harsh use!
