Geoff crouched and waited together with a few other men. They’d been sent here to scout on the tax collector they knew would pass through the forest. He could feel his nerves flaring, like an angry cat arching its back and hissing, and calmed himself down by touching the smooth leather of his sword. It’d served his family well, and the groves carved by their hands were as familiar to him as his own hands and never failed to calm him down. And just in time. Here came the tax collector’s carriage.

Epic Armoury's Ranger Sword is part of the Vanguard line, and it takes its design cues from the knightly (or arming) swords of the Late Middle Ages in Europe. It has a curved crossguard to increase the ability to catch an opponent's weapon and potentially disarm them. The hilt is made from polyurethane and has a high degree of detailing, as it is sculpted to resemble a leather wrapper around the grip, with a slight amount of gold detailing to make it stand out visually. The hilt guarantees a great grip for the wielder. The blade is made from closed-cell polyurethane foam and coloured to look as lifelike as possible. Unlike most LARP weapons, the Vanguard line requires virtually no maintenance beyond checking for wear and tear in the form of cuts or breaks.

The Epic Armoury Sky Hook is suitable for swords with a blade up to 5.5cm in width, and with a length between 75cm and 160cm (dependant on height of the bearer), with standard crossguard hilts.

Epic Armoury’s Sky Hook offers an alternate method of carrying your weapon, providing more support than a standard waist belt. Using full-grain brown leather, this specialized baldric is designed to strap around the torso, and is both durable and attractive. The leather straps are secured across the chest in an X-design, while the scabbard itself sits at a diagonal across the back. Slide your sword or large axe through the holder, resting its tip inside the chape and its crossguard (or axe head) inside the two hooks. This design allows for easy placement and removal of your weapon quickly, while also keeping the scabbard in place while you fight.

Almost any outfit will benefit from this clever weapon holder, especially if you desire an epic fantasy appearance. For those who are left-handed, the Sky Hook’s scabbard and belts can be untied and reversed so that your weapon will sit over your left shoulder instead of your right.

Its soft lining hugs the blade tight so it doesn't slip out, and reduces friction to a minimum to protect against premature deterioration of the latex coating. It is also a very elegant LARP accessory, made of dyed and engraved genuine leather, presenting the best option at hand to carry a side sword into your next event.
