Joshua Brigandine

The Joshua brigandine is a fantastic replica of a historical medieval coat of plates.

The outer fabric is durable suede. Metal plates with a thickness of 1mm were rivited on the inside.
In addition the plates are lined with a soft cotton fabric on the inside to assist with cushioning blows.
The brigandine is closed by means of three leather straps on either side which allow adjusting it individually adjusting it to the wearer's body.

As a squire, you must wake with the sun to prepare for your training. You are responsible for your master as well as your extra chores, and it’s only after the morning’s water is boiled and you’ve set out your master’s clothing and polished armour that you are allowed to begin your drills.

What armour you own--RFB Padded Armour--is easy enough for you to wear as you practice your sword swings. One day you will be a fearsome knight. For now, you must continue to train hard and build your skills.

Epic Armoury’s Ready-for-Battle Padded Armour is a long padded, sleeveless coat covering the body from the shoulders to the upper thighs. Made from quilted cotton canvas lined with a soft polyester interior and a medium cotton outer layer, this padding can be worn on its own or as padding beneath heavy steel or leather armour. Suede split-leather lining at the neck prevents tearing or splitting with excessive wear against armour, while also adding additional comfort to the neck.

The RFB Padded Armour is stitched to ensure the padding will remain evenly spaced. This coat provides ease of movement thanks to the slitted front, back and sides. Adjust it to your size by tying the cotton straps at the hips. With its neutral style, the RFB Padded Armour will work on a wide variety of characters. Match it with other Epic Armoury armours and clothes to fit your unique style!

• Historically, a high-medieval European gambeson was recorded as being capable of stopping sword blows from penetrating the skin

You adjust your Leather Brigandine, double checking the buckles as you listen to him continue. “For our homes and for our families, we will fight until we can fight no more!” With a resounding cheer, your fellow soldiers ready themselves for the charge. You withdraw your weapon, eager and afraid all at once.

Epic Armoury's Leather Brigandine is leather armour reinforced with heavy leather plates designed to protect the entire torso, upper thighs and groin. Made from full-grain leather and brass coated rivets, this menacing waistcoat is both lightweight and durable. Secure this brigandine with five heavy leather straps and brass buckles down the front, further adjustable by tightening leather cords along the flanks between the armpit and midthigh.

The Leather Brigandine is fully compatible with other Epic Armoury armours, and its distinctive but low-fantasy style allow it to be used across games and characters. With the proper leather care, you can expect this armour to withstand the abuse of a LARP or reenactment for a long time!

HISTORY

• Worn over a gambeson or coat of chainmail by soldiers ranging from archers to knights

The black Leather Shadow Cuirass Torso Armor is a beautifully crafted cuirass designed to protect you in Larp combat. Even though death usually comes from the front, this thick leather armor will protect your chest and back, resting on your hips to allow you a full range of movement in battle. A series of straps and buckles allow the Drow warrior to don the armor quickly and perfectly adjusting it to your shape. Mytholon's "Fafnir" body armour is something really special. Metal plates have been riveted on a backing of padded suede leather. Especially the comfort of the wearer and the feasibility of putting on a complete suit of armour in a few minutes were our goals. Because of this there is no need to wear a gambeson or a similar garment.

You have the choice between three different adjustments which you can make yourselves. The different parts of the armour are connected by leather straps. The three different sizes are achieved by pulling these straps through eyelets. Additionally, you can omit some parts of the armour, eg. the shoulder parts or the thigh protectors.

In their opinion, this black version of the "Fafnir" armour is specially suited to be used as armour for dark and evil NPCs, because they won`t need much time to arm themselves.
