Dietrich Spangenhelmet

Spangenhelmets are described as helmets with a riveted band on the scull part - be it a single one or crosswise. These bands held the seperate pieces of the scull part together and named this kind of helmet. It was worn all around europe (and parts of central Asia) until the 11th century.

Mytholon's Dietrich Spangenhelmet is the most simple form of this kind: made with one central band along the scull part and detailed with an additional band wrapped around the rim.

The helmet is being delivered with an inner liner of foam and a chin strap to hold it in place.

The padded coif "Leopold" is, like a classic coif, fixed under the chin with two sturdy ribbons of cotton. Under a helmet, it gives this considerably more wearing comfort and protective effect. Of course, it can also be worn as a stand-alone headgear.

DETAILS

Epic Armoury’s Undercap is a padded hood that fits over the head and ears comfortably. Made from quilted cotton canvas lined with a soft polyester interior and a medium cotton outer layer, this padding can be worn on its own or as padding beneath a heavy steel or leather helmet.

The Undercap is stitched to ensure the padding will remain evenly spaced. Secure it to your head by tying the cotton cords under the chin. With its neutral style, the Undercap will work on a wide variety of characters. Match it with other Epic Armoury armours and clothes to fit your unique style!

HISTORY

These bracers are made from braided leather straps, which are riveted together. They are very comfortable to wear and adjust to your arm very well. Close them by using the two buckles.

Epic Armoury’s Mempo is a leather half-mask inspired by early Asian soldiers. This mask protects the face from the bridge of the nose to the chin. Four ventilation slits allow proper airflow through the mask’s mouth, designed to be comfortably worn for long periods of time. Secure the mask to your face by tying two long cotton-weave cords around the head.
