The torso armour of Mytholon's Lambert series features a plain and functional design. It consists of a breast plate and a back plate that are connected by adjustable shoulder straps. The straps on both sides may also be used to adjust the size. The backplate comprises two parts and has a movable lower segment. This serves to considerably increase wearing comfort and mobility.
Please note that the indentations are where the wearer's shoulder blades should be, and are not intended for protection of a female chest. Wearing it backwards in this way will be, at best, incredibly uncomfortable.

Unlike the other parts of the Lambert series, the torso armour is not ornamented in any way, meaning it can also be universally combined with other armour series and outfits.

We recommend wearing a gambeson jacket or padded collar underneath the torso armour to increase wearing comfort and avoid bruises and abrasions.

STYLE AND FUNCTION COMBINED

Epic Armoury's Gambeson Dastan is a padded long-sleeve coat covering the torso from neck, down over the hips and upper thighs both on the front and back. It can be worn on its own or serve as essential padding under mail or armour. The gambeson is donned like a jacket and closed on the front with straps, allowing the wearer to customize the tightness of the fit. The shoulders are easily detachable by untying its cotton cords on the shoulders and sleeves, each cord secured through long-lasting brass eyelets. The gambeson design is created with a two-colour design in mind, giving a splash of colour to it.

Thick enough to serve as its own armour, this sturdy gambeson is constructed with heavy layers of fluffed cotton canvas sandwiched between dyed wool on the outside and softer cotton lining on the inside. All these layers are stitched together in vertical lines, keeping the padding in place.

The bracers of Mytholon's Lambert series feature a curved beading and have a cutout for the crook of the wearer’s arm. That way, they won’t hinder the wearer’s movements in combat and are comfortable to wear. Like all parts of the Lambert series, these bracers combine functionality with an elegant design.

We recommend wearing a padding or arm wraps underneath the bracers to increase wearing comfort and avoid bruises and abrasions.

The belt shield of our “Lambert” series is an accessory you don’t necessarily need to wear in combination with a suit of armour. It is ideally suited for being used to display your coat of arms or group affiliation. Its broad loops allow you to comfortably attach it to your belt. The loops can be rotated to change their position, allowing you to attach the shield to a chainmail shirt or in a similar position.

The spaulders of Mytholon's Lambert series consist of six movable segments. Due to their exceptional length, they also protect the upper arm without hindering the wearer’s movements in combat.

Like the entire Lambert armour series, the spaulders have a curved design and stand out through both their functionality as well as their elegant shape. Straps on the inside may be used to attach additional arm protection.

The armour belt of Mytholon's Lambert series features a broad leather lamella that closes the gap between torso armour and armour belt.

The fittings for tassets can be used to attach Lambert tassets as well as tassets from other armour series, such as Galahad. The armour belt may be closed by means of a strap at the back.

The tassets of Mytholon's Lambert armour series consist of four curved segments and offer great mobility. They may also be attached to torso armour parts and armour belts from other armour series, such as Galahad or Edward.

We recommend wearing a long gambeson jacked or thigh paddings to avoid bruises and abrasions.

The gorget of our “Lambert” series stands out through its curved shape. A flexibly mounted neck segment allows comfortably adjusting the size of the neck cutout. That means you can make sure the gorget won’t fit uncomfortable or chafe your skin. Additionally, the two-part gorget was joined movably in the nape area, which also contributes to a significantly increased wearing comfort. The gorget “Lambert” is a great choice for all wearers of armour that value functionality and wearing comfort.

Humidity, expansion and contraction in the heat, UV radiation, rain, and the withering blows of your enemies all conspire to expose your armour to rust, but worse yet, your very own precious bodily fluids conspire to corrode it from the inside with their impurities and corruption! (which is why we only ever drink pure grain alcohol or rainwater)

You could coat your armour (and other metal objects) in a regular run of the mill lubricant, but many of them are actively hydrophobic. Great for metal but terrible for leather, cotton and other organic materials!

Lanox MX4 is a lanolin rich lubricant, and lanolin is the oil that is naturally produced by sheep to prevent them from shrinking in the rain and generally remain weather proof! It is superior to many artificial compounds and does not damage leathers or organic fibres.

This breastplate circles the neck in a narrow U-shape, with the steel chest protecting the thorax before sloping around the ribcage to protect under the arms. Epic Armoury’s Soldier Torso is a handmade cuirass and backplate, designed to protect the front and back of the torso and abdomen. This low-fantasy design is meant to fit an assortment of characters, and is inspired by historical medieval armour. It’s simple form comes in a range of sizes, and can easily be used by most people thanks to its curve and ability to overlap beneath the arms. The plate rests at the hips and has small rolled flanges around its edges.

Secure the Soldiers Torso by attaching the breastplate and backplate together over the chest. Six leather straps are riveted to the backplate, and are adjusted using the buckles attached to the breastplate. Tighten and adjust to your size, ideally over a padded gambeson for the most comfort. The "Rikomer" plate armor is the brother of our "Dragomir" armor. Elaborately manufactured, it consists of a large number of lames and elements that, when combined, result in an extraordinary armor that can hardly be more agile. Every part from Rikomer is carefully flanged and coordinated with one another. Unlike "Dragomir", this armor is not decorated with beads and thus has an uncompromising, brutal look that contrasts with the finely shaped parts. Rikomer impresses with its design and the masterful execution that makes this armor so unique. It is also a more affordable than its brother "Dragomir".

Armor like this is usually only available as a custom-made product and we had to fiddle a long time before we could get it ready for serial production. Of course, the fit must and can be optimized here and there by careful bending, but we have designed the armor in such a way that it can be carried into the field with maximum comfort. The individual parts are burnished to protect them from rust, making the Rikomer burnished particularly suitable for dark knights and fighters of chaos.

We generally recommend wearing a gambeson and arm and leg paddings under plate armor. This significantly improves wearing comfort and protection.
