Lambert Spaulders

The spaulders of Mytholon's Lambert series consist of six movable segments. Due to their exceptional length, they also protect the upper arm without hindering the wearer’s movements in combat.

Like the entire Lambert armour series, the spaulders have a curved design and stand out through both their functionality as well as their elegant shape. Straps on the inside may be used to attach additional arm protection.

Epic Armoury's Chain Mantle is a flexible mail shoulder guard made from linked steel rings. The mail covers the upper body and arms, designed to protect the shoulders and chest from piercing and slashing damage. Each butted ring interlocks with four other rings in a 4-in-1 design.

Secure the Chain Mantle by tightening the leather strap around the neck, keeping the mantle in place over your gambeson. Made of 1.6 mm thick mild steel and top-grain leather straps and fittings, this armour piece is built to withstand the abuse of a LARP or reenactment with regular leather and metal armour care.

Designed to add comfort and protection beneath your Epic Armoury Scout Shoulders, this Scout Shoulder Gambeson is a must have when you venture into battle. Made from quilted cotton encasement and lined with a soft polyester interior, this product has a stitching that ensures the padding remaining evenly spaced. Secure it around your neck by tying the cotton strings in front and wear it just on its own or as padding beneath any heavy steel or leather armour. Quilted armour was common through many cultures and time periods, and with its interchangeable style and affordable price, the Scout Shoulder Gambeson will work on a wide variety of LARP characters.

The bracers of Mytholon's Lambert series feature a curved beading and have a cutout for the crook of the wearer’s arm. That way, they won’t hinder the wearer’s movements in combat and are comfortable to wear. Like all parts of the Lambert series, these bracers combine functionality with an elegant design.

We recommend wearing a padding or arm wraps underneath the bracers to increase wearing comfort and avoid bruises and abrasions.

The belt shield of our “Lambert” series is an accessory you don’t necessarily need to wear in combination with a suit of armour. It is ideally suited for being used to display your coat of arms or group affiliation. Its broad loops allow you to comfortably attach it to your belt. The loops can be rotated to change their position, allowing you to attach the shield to a chainmail shirt or in a similar position.

The armour belt of Mytholon's Lambert series features a broad leather lamella that closes the gap between torso armour and armour belt.

The fittings for tassets can be used to attach Lambert tassets as well as tassets from other armour series, such as Galahad. The armour belt may be closed by means of a strap at the back.

The tassets of Mytholon's Lambert armour series consist of four curved segments and offer great mobility. They may also be attached to torso armour parts and armour belts from other armour series, such as Galahad or Edward.

We recommend wearing a long gambeson jacked or thigh paddings to avoid bruises and abrasions.

The gorget of our “Lambert” series stands out through its curved shape. A flexibly mounted neck segment allows comfortably adjusting the size of the neck cutout. That means you can make sure the gorget won’t fit uncomfortable or chafe your skin. Additionally, the two-part gorget was joined movably in the nape area, which also contributes to a significantly increased wearing comfort. The gorget “Lambert” is a great choice for all wearers of armour that value functionality and wearing comfort.

We recommend wearing a gambeson jacket or padded collar underneath the gorget to avoid bruises and abrasions.

The greaves of Mytholon's Lambert series are ornamented with a beading that curves upwards. Their broad cutouts for the wearer’s feet allow comfortably wearing them even on long marches.

The torso armour of Mytholon's Lambert series features a plain and functional design. It consists of a breast plate and a back plate that are connected by adjustable shoulder straps. The straps on both sides may also be used to adjust the size. The backplate comprises two parts and has a movable lower segment. This serves to considerably increase wearing comfort and mobility.
Please note that the indentations are where the wearer's shoulder blades should be, and are not intended for protection of a female chest. Wearing it backwards in this way will be, at best, incredibly uncomfortable.

Unlike the other parts of the Lambert series, the torso armour is not ornamented in any way, meaning it can also be universally combined with other armour series and outfits.

We recommend wearing a gambeson jacket or padded collar underneath the torso armour to increase wearing comfort and avoid bruises and abrasions.

Humidity, expansion and contraction in the heat, UV radiation, rain, and the withering blows of your enemies all conspire to expose your armour to rust, but worse yet, your very own precious bodily fluids conspire to corrode it from the inside with their impurities and corruption! (which is why we only ever drink pure grain alcohol or rainwater)

You could coat your armour (and other metal objects) in a regular run of the mill lubricant, but many of them are actively hydrophobic. Great for metal but terrible for leather, cotton and other organic materials!

Lanox MX4 is a lanolin rich lubricant, and lanolin is the oil that is naturally produced by sheep to prevent them from shrinking in the rain and generally remain weather proof! It is superior to many artificial compounds and does not damage leathers or organic fibres.

Epic Armoury’s Rogue Neck and Shoulders is an articulated set of armour designed to provide protection for the neck, shoulders, upper arms and chest. The armour is a six-piece set: a two piece gorget, two shoulders, and two upper arm guards. The gorget covers the thorax to the sternum and is furnished with both metal and leather. The gorget and shoulders are attached with top-grain leather straps and a strong cord. In addition, a strong leather strap is adjusted around the chest.

The shoulders are composed of pauldrons and arm guards covering the shoulder-joint and upper arms. The top of the pauldron scoops upward, creating a ridge meant to deflect blows. The shoulder plates are strapped on at the gorget and connect to the upper arm plate, which is secured around the biceps with an adjustable leather strap.

The Rogue Neck and Shoulders is made from top-grain leather and galvanized mild steel with rolled edges that form ridges around the rims. The design is inspired by assassins and rogues, but the style and functionality is fully interchangeable with other Epic Armoury armours, allowing freedom to combine armours and customize a character’s looks to fit your needs.

Epic Armoury’s Shoulder Plate Giant Dark Warrior are a set of two shoulder guards designed to protect the shoulder-joints and upper arm. This armour’s metal plates overlap one another to provide complete laminate protection. Overlaying the spaulders is a large pauldron, which provides additional protection to joints and armpits. Atop the pauldron a vertical plate sword breaker catches and deflects blows before they can impact the head. The sword breaker is slightly concave and somewhat higher at the back than the front, thus providing protection without impairing vision. Although the armour is designed to match Epic Armoury’s ‘Dark Warrior’ set, it is fully interchangeable with other Epic Armoury armours in order to fully customize your character’s look.

Secure the Shoulder Plate Giant Dark Warrior by tightening the top leather strap onto a breast- or neck-plate, adjusting so that the armour sits comfortably over the shoulder. Keep the armour from further moving by securing an additional top leather strap around the upper arm. Epic Armoury’s Shoulderplates are a set of two shoulder guards with spaulders. The spaulders have three ridged metal plates--or lames--overlaying one another to provide laminate protection of the upper arms. The shoulderplates are fastened with leather straps around the biceps and at the shoulder blade, attaching to a breastplate. Epic Armoury breast- and backplates can be purchased separately and have fittings for mounting the shoulders.

The Mercenary Shoulderplates are designed to match Epic Armoury’s Mercenary Armour, but is fully usable with other Epic Armoury metal products, giving you the freedom to customize your character’s costume. A pair of huge spaulders, equipped with sword breakers and besagew on each side, will give you that truly heroic Paladin look.
The spaulders are made from multiple parts that are riveted together. This way the wearer will still be able to move his arms freely and is not limited in movement.

The sword breakers on the inside enlarge the entire spaulder from the side view. Use the inner buckle to strap the spaulders to the "Galahad" armour set. There is also a buckle-strap for the upper arm.
The besagew cover the armpit, the place with auxilliary arteries - vital parts, so to say. This is the armour part, where you have the possibility to paint your own heraldic colours onto. A small colourful armour piece will loose up the complete blank look of the armour.

The "Rikomer" plate armor is the brother of our "Dragomir" armor. Elaborately manufactured, it consists of a large number of lames and elements that, when combined, result in an extraordinary armor that can hardly be more agile. Every part from Rikomer is carefully flanged and coordinated with one another. Unlike "Dragomir", this armor is not decorated with beads and thus has an uncompromising, brutal look that contrasts with the finely shaped parts. Rikomer impresses with its design and the masterful execution that makes this armor so unique. It is also a more affordable than its brother "Dragomir".

Armor like this is usually only available as a custom-made product and we had to fiddle a long time before we could get it ready for serial production. Of course, the fit must and can be optimized here and there by careful bending, but we have designed the armor in such a way that it can be carried into the field with maximum comfort. The individual parts are burnished to protect them from rust, making the Rikomer burnished particularly suitable for dark knights and fighters of chaos.

We generally recommend wearing a gambeson and arm and leg paddings under plate armor. This significantly improves wearing comfort and protection.

Mytholon's Vigor armour was designed for the more imposing characters on the battlefield – referring not only to their formidable fighting style. This armour sets generous dimensions make it comfortable for longer periods of time even for powerfully built warriors of any gender. 

The style is reminiscent of the massive armour suits familiar from certain well-known manufacturers of war based tabletop miniatures games that require hammers. The oversized bevor in particular lends the armour suit its exceptional look. "Vigor" is slightly burnished, giving the armour pieces a worn but well cared for appearance. The burnishing procedure may cause small spots similar to rain spatters. As the finish is applied individually for hand it is unique for every single set.

If you’d prefer your armour unburnished, and looking like a shiny warrior of light that constantly praises something, you can also easily remove the burnishing layer using a polishing cloth.

The mighty spaulders consist of seven segments and also feature segmented upper arm protection. All the parts are connected flexibly and allow a maximum in freedom of movement.

It goes without saying that all edges of these armour pieces are beaded.
