You look upon your leading officer as he makes his way down the line of your fellow soldiers. Your fate and the fate of your entire unit is dependent on this veteran’s word, and you find yourself relieved not to shoulder such a heavy burden.

“We must fight!” your officer shouts for all to hear. You adjust your Leather Brigandine, double checking the buckles as you listen to him continue. “For our homes and for our families, we will fight until we can fight no more!” With a resounding cheer, your fellow soldiers ready themselves for the charge. You withdraw your weapon, eager and afraid all at once.

The battle has begun.

Epic Armoury's Leather Brigandine is leather armour reinforced with heavy leather plates designed to protect the entire torso, upper thighs and groin. Made from full-grain leather and brass coated rivets, this menacing waistcoat is both lightweight and durable. Secure this brigandine with five heavy leather straps and brass buckles down the front, further adjustable by tightening leather cords along the flanks between the armpit and midthigh.

The Leather Brigandine is fully compatible with other Epic Armoury armours, and its distinctive but low-fantasy style allow it to be used across games and characters. With the proper leather care, you can expect this armour to withstand the abuse of a LARP or reenactment for a long time!

HISTORY

• Worn over a gambeson or coat of chainmail by soldiers ranging from archers to knights

You own two dresses--one for work, and one for special occasions. You are careful to treat each article as though it is precious.

So, you are patching up your Peasant Dress once again. You have been mending it for years, adjusting the fit and fixing unraveled stitches and torn hems. It is a good thing you saved the money for this heavy cotton dress in the first place! It has survived the abuse of regular labor well, all things considered.

Many people are not so lucky.

Epic Armoury’s Peasant Dress is a graceful but casual sleeveless dress designed to shine on its own or to be combined with other Epic Armoury clothes. With a V-cut neckline and a tailored waist, this ankle-length dress is both comfortable and appealing. Adjust the fit to your preference by tightening the drawstring brace on the front, which can be tied shut or worn visible depending on the style desired. The waistline can also be adjusted with a cloth strap around the back.

Made from soft cotton, the Peasant Dress is a great start to a special costume. While inspired by Renaissance design, this dress can easily be used by almost any character or culture with a little creativity.

Shield Bash!

Your shield sends a goblin clear off his feet, landing in a pile of his buddies. They miscalculated your massive strength, and are reeling backwards on the retreat. So much for supposed alliances--you can feel the goblin blood soaked clear down to your Tunic. They have learned too late that betraying an Orc of the Black Water would mean death. It’s too bad they won’t be able to share the word with their kin.

You adjust your great shield, letting out a battle cry of rage as another goblin aims for your ankles. Shield Bash. This one goes flying another fifteen paces.

You admire the Viking Sword that belonged to your father. The great warrior sailed his last voyage, but your brethren still managed to bring back his weapon specially for you. For that, at least, you are grateful.

Looking down upon the sharpened, freshly cleaned steel, you wonder what this sword has seen. Carried on countless travels, this sword may have shed blood raiding the English coast, been tarnished under the sun of Spain, and been drawn in defense of Miklagard.

One day you will add to its story.

The Viking Sword is a weapon of status wielded by free men and proud warriors of skill and valour. The 95 cm long sword has a 77 cm fullered blade designed to be lightweight while maintaining its structural stability. The 12 cm leather-wrapped handle gives the sword good balance and grip, protected by a curved crossguard.

The Viking Sword can be complemented with a Viking Shield or Dagger. Made from durable closed cell foam around a solid fibreglass core and finished with a strong latex coating, you can feel confident that your LARP weapon will provide the safety and appeal you want when crafting your kit.

The Joshua brigandine is a fantastic replica of a historical medieval coat of plates.

The outer fabric is durable suede. Metal plates with a thickness of 1mm were rivited on the inside.
In addition the plates are lined with a soft cotton fabric on the inside to assist with cushioning blows.
The brigandine is closed by means of three leather straps on either side which allow adjusting it individually adjusting it to the wearer's body.

This pretty armour vest is a very special eyecatcher. It is made of hemmed and braided leather strips, that are riveted at each single crosspoint. Through this, its surface is getting very stabile and almost like a brigantine. It is very flexible and hardly hinders your movements, but it gives good protection for your body.

It is suitable for light soldiers and especially for bow- or crossbow-men, as you can move around freely and a your arms are uncovered.

As seen in our costume proposal, the vest can be well combined with chainmail or a chainmail collar. It also fits over a gambeson. Additionally it can be extended into a suit of heavy armour by adding some pieces of plate armour.

There are two different sizes of this vest, but it can be easily adjusted with the three lateral buckles.

Epic Armoury’s Celtic Lamellar is a leather cuirass designed to protect the torso with a reinforced leather breastplate and stiff backplate. Made from overlapping, vegetable-tanned, full-grain leather, this cuirass is shaped to deflect blows while still offering great flexibility. The black Leather Shadow Cuirass Torso Armor is a beautifully crafted cuirass designed to protect you in Larp combat. Even though death usually comes from the front, this thick leather armor will protect your chest and back, resting on your hips to allow you a full range of movement in battle. A series of straps and buckles allow the Drow warrior to don the armor quickly and perfectly adjusting it to your shape. Epic Armoury’s Ranger Torso Armour is a chrome-tanned leather cuirass comprising a simple frame with a diagonal weave on the front and sides. The pieces are combined and adjusted with the ornamented strappings. The armour is designed to fit the other items of the Ranger Complete Armour Set, but with the tie-on system and creativity, it can be combined with pieces from different armour sets. A versatile armour well suited in settings inspired by Vikings, Celts or the mediaeval period of Europe.

Mytholon's "Fafnir" body armour is something really special. Metal plates have been riveted on a backing of padded suede leather. Especially the comfort of the wearer and the feasibility of putting on a complete suit of armour in a few minutes were our goals. Because of this there is no need to wear a gambeson or a similar garment.

You have the choice between three different adjustments which you can make yourselves. The different parts of the armour are connected by leather straps. The three different sizes are achieved by pulling these straps through eyelets. Additionally, you can omit some parts of the armour, eg. the shoulder parts or the thigh protectors.

In their opinion, this black version of the "Fafnir" armour is specially suited to be used as armour for dark and evil NPCs, because they won`t need much time to arm themselves.
