The Gut Plate features plating made from three ridged steel plates--or lames--overlaying one another and a central plate to provide laminate protection of the gut. The vegetable tanned leather belt is made from two smaller, embossed leather belts slipped through a wide brace, providing a secure fit that will remain fixed over your costume. Fasten the belt by securing its two belt tongues, locked in place by two square brass belt buckles and show off an appearance that is worthy not only of barbarians, but of all Nomadic Horse Warriors, Vikings or Norsemen who might want a good piece of armour to protect their soft spot, when they go out pillaging and raiding.

Epic Armoury’s Viking Leg Protection is a set of greaves inspired by ancient splint armour. At first glance, the Viking Leg Protection may appear fragile, but don’t let that fool you! These greaves can be worn over leather or clothing, and the vertical steel strips offer excellent protection of your shins without encumbering you or hindering your mobility.

Epic Armoury’s Thermos Holder is a leather-clad bottle designed for carrying refreshments without breaking character. The full-grain leather is dyed and cut to give it a neutral appearance while also being extremely durable, making this a perfect addition to any multitude of characters. With the correct leather care, you can expect it to withstand the abuse of heavy use. Easily carry this holder with you by using the adjustable leather strap over your shoulder. The strap has 16 punched holes and is 140 cm long measured to the middle hole to accommodate your height.

Store 1000 ml (or approximately 33.8 US fluid ounces) of hot or cold liquid inside the insulated steel bottle with a dual-function lid hidden beneath the leather flip lid, perfect for a drink or soup. When you need to clean the thermos between uses, simply pull it from the leather’s top.

Epic Armoury's Headband of Strength takes its cues from the Swords & Sorcery films of the past. This 5 mm thick leather headband has been reinforced with metal places that have been riveted in place. Four more decorative rivets cover the nose band. This creates a nose and head guard that is light, protective, and decorative at the same time. The thick leather and the straps around the back allow for a great range of hits and heads.

Humidity, expansion and contraction in the heat, UV radiation, rain, and the withering blows of your enemies all conspire to expose your armour to rust, but worse yet, your very own precious bodily fluids conspire to corrode it from the inside with their impurities and corruption! (which is why we only ever drink pure grain alcohol or rainwater)

You could coat your armour (and other metal objects) in a regular run of the mill lubricant, but many of them are actively hydrophobic. Great for metal but terrible for leather, cotton and other organic materials!

Lanox MX4 is a lanolin rich lubricant, and lanolin is the oil that is naturally produced by sheep to prevent them from shrinking in the rain and generally remain weather proof! It is superior to many artificial compounds and does not damage leathers or organic fibres.

SIZING

This simple abdominal armour is perfectly made for combination purposes. Its being closed with a single buckle strap in the back. This way we ensure to make it very comfortable to put on and off by yourself. Looks good when combined with a shirt of browned chainmaille and/or a dark padded jacket. We suggest it as part of a Landsknechts' costume.
