The regular leather gauntlets we sell are already pretty boss for giving someone a backhand, but with a plate of brass over the knuckle you'll remain unsullied when laying in for a duel.

A servant of Ratio, you are a Kan soldier of the Army of Doubt. The Mirrorworld is your home, and it is your duty to stand guard on behalf of the Primordial Skeptics--the very beings a Large Host of settlers are seeking to destroy. As the army’s backbone, you will face these enemies on the front lines of battle. They will learn to fear you.

DETAILS

Epic Armoury’s Ratio Gauntlets are a set of steel gloves designed to provide maximal protection in combat without compromising manoeuvrability. From knuckles to the forearm, you can expect these gauntlets to keep you safe. Each gauntlet protects the knuckles with a rigid, sculpted knuckle plate. A short vambrace attaches to the hand plates with a thick piece of leather, protecting the wrist up the forearm. The back of the hand and the thumb are protected with overlapping steel plates fitted onto a leather foundation. Secure the gauntlet onto the hand by sliding the fingers through the leather loop around the hand, and tighten its heavy leather straps around the wrist and two around the forearm to keep the armour in place.

The Ratio Gauntlets are fully usable with other Epic Armoury metal products, giving you the freedom to customize your character’s costume. Made of 1 mm thick galvanized mild steel and top-grain leather straps and fittings, this armour piece is built to withstand the abuse of a LARP or reenactment with regular leather and metal armour care.

Each piece is made from galvanized mild steel with rolled edges and top-grain leather straps and fittings, and is treated with Epic Armoury’s Epic Dark Metal coat, which gives the armour a rugged, antique finish. Built to withstand the abuse of a LARP or reenactment while keeping the user safe and comfortable, this armour will last a long time with regular leather and metal armour care.

STYLE AND FUNCTION COMBINED

Epic Armoury's Gambeson Dastan is a padded long-sleeve coat covering the torso from neck, down over the hips and upper thighs both on the front and back. It can be worn on its own or serve as essential padding under mail or armour. The gambeson is donned like a jacket and closed on the front with straps, allowing the wearer to customize the tightness of the fit. The shoulders are easily detachable by untying its cotton cords on the shoulders and sleeves, each cord secured through long-lasting brass eyelets. The gambeson design is created with a two-colour design in mind, giving a splash of colour to it.

Thick enough to serve as its own armour, this sturdy gambeson is constructed with heavy layers of fluffed cotton canvas sandwiched between dyed wool on the outside and softer cotton lining on the inside. All these layers are stitched together in vertical lines, keeping the padding in place.

HISTORY

• Quilted armours have been around since at least 400 BCE

• Could stop heavy arrows and mace and axe impacts with the addition of overlaying chainmail

Rather than steel Wulflund's child sized gauntlets are a light weight, robust duralumin that your child will love and will only be able to damage if they really put their mind to it.

They come without internal gloves.

Epic Armoury's Polished Steel Mittens are a much-needed addition to any Larp soldiers kit. This pair of hand armor consists of a series of overlapping plates riveted together, protecting the knight's hands, fingers and wrists from enemy attack. Although this pair of medieval gauntlets does restrict some movement, it is still quite efficient for true soldiers who desire the ultimate protection when facing dire situations. Each gauntlet is designed to be worn over the soldier's hand or glove and comes with a series of leather straps through which the warrior can secure it, making it simple to put on. Our craftsmen have designed this 1mm steel armour to perform well in battle, and your survival now rests in your capable hands.

Epic Armoury’s Black Gauntlets are an essential for any person wishing to keep their hands protected while in battle. Consisting of articulated plating, these gauntlets protect the fingers, knuckles, wrists, and forearms without sacrificing mobility. With a polished steel and black paint finish, these gauntlets have an austere style ideally suited for a dark and serious character with ill-intention.
