Epic Armoury's Padded Squire Bracers are made like a gambeson in that they feature thick padding underneath a layer of fabric designed to be used either as armour on its own or as padding beneath steel armour.

These bracers are thick cotton padding and with a cotton fabric covering it. A single long and 2 cm wide herringbone-cotton bane winds through the six eye holes and allows you to tighten the bracers around your arm to secure a comfortable fit.

Two leather straps are used to keep each of the RFB Arm Protection vambraces in place. Made of 1 mm thick mild steel and top-grain leather straps and fittings, these oxidation resistant coated armor pieces are built to withstand the abuse of a LARP or reenactment with regular leather and metal armor care.

• Unlike popular belief, arm protection was only called a “bracer” if it was meant to protect the forearm of an archer. Actual forearm protection like this would have been called a vambrace or forearm guard

Inspired by the mediaeval gugel hood style from Germany, the Fimbul Hood is made from herring-bone pattern wool with polyester light and dark brown fur trim. It works well on top of another garment, as they were normally worn in the Middle Ages. Typically, this would be a shirt or a tunic, where the hood was added as extra protection from the weather, especially in winter with the fur trim. It ties together at the neck with a leather cord so that you can adjust it to fit.

The winters in these parts were always long and cold, but unlike the other monster hunters, Torvald didn't spend the cold months strutting his stuff in the taverns and inns. Epic Armoury's wool Ignis Pants are stylish leggings with neutral colours cut vertically, in the style of the German mercenaries of the Renaissance Period. It's made from a herringbone pattern wool mix (78% wool), making them warm and comfortable, with six belt loops and an elastic stretch that gives you a great fit together with a belt. These pants come down just above the knees, and leg wraps on your lower legs are recommended. It has two main pockets and two "convenience" pockets that can fit small objects like throwing knives, coins, and such. The sleeves are backstiched in diamond-shape, which maximizes movability. The inner part of the elbow is made without padding, the outer part has an extra pad for protection.
The lower arm can be tied with a string to close it individualy. The seams are sewn with an extra cotton seam, which provides more comfort while wearing it.

Epic Armoury’s Gambeson Arms are a set of quilted cotton vambraces designed to add comfort and protection beneath your armour. Made from quilted cotton canvas lined with a soft polyester interior and a medium cotton outer layer, they can be worn on their own or as padding beneath heavy steel or leather armour. Archers can also benefit from the added protection against bowstrings. Add this comfort without the warmth of a full gambeson shirt, specially designed for a costume without a breastplate and tassets.

The Gambeson Arms are stitched to ensure the padding will remain evenly spaced. Secure them to your arms by tightening the cotton string lacing through brass eyelets up the forearm. Quilted armours were common through many cultures and used across a broad expanse of time. With their neutral style, the Gambeson Arms will work on a wide variety of characters.

Epic Armoury’s Warrior Gambeson Long Sleeves are padded sleeves, that fit with the Epic Armoury Warrior Gambeson Torso, which is sold separately. These sleeves are easily attached to the Torso by using the supplied cotton cords and long-lasting brass eyelets.

Thick enough to serve as its own armour, these sturdy long gambeson sleeves are constructed with heavy layers of fluffed polyester sandwiched between layers of heavy cotton twill. All these layers are stitched together in vertical lines, keeping the padding in place and mimicking a classic European high-medieval style.

Though of European cut, gambeson or quilted-style armours have seen world-wide use since antediluvian times, making the Warrior Gambeson a great basic armour with a range of possibilities regardless of time and place.
