Most of us have to rely on the Ranger Quiver. It may not glow when goblins are about but it more than facilitates the act of slaying them!
Your horse gallops out onto the fields of a vast plain, chasing after the few orcs fleeing from your arrows. Your horsebow gleams beneath the sunlight, and every arrow you pull and let fly from your Ranger Quiver finds its mark. With balance and elven grace, you reach for another arrow in your quiver.
The orcs made a mistake when they entered your family’s forest. You successfully taunted their scouting party into a trap, and now all that is left is a little cleanup.
DETAILS
Epic Armoury’s Ranger Quiver is a highly adjustable, beautifully ornamented quiver designed to carry a supply of arrows with you even during extreme maneuvers. It fits most LARP arrows and is made from chrome-tanned plated-leather with a soft split-leather exterior. Ornamental leather patches decorate this quiver at the top and bottom to give it an elven appearance. The circular bottom is stitched to the body with a similar flattened leather cord and brass rivets used along the top and down the side.
The Ranger Quiver is worn over the shoulder thanks to its 90 cm adjustable leather strap, brass-plated iron buckle, and 32 pre-punched holes. An additional 70 cm adjustable belt anchors the quiver around the waist, or to a baldric or pack. This quiver has a beautifully detailed style and colour and matches other Epic Armoury leather items, making it a good choice for an elf or noble archer with a fat purse.
HISTORY
- Historically, quivers could be attached in various positions, including: the back, the belt, the ground, or the archer’s limbs
- Traditionally made of leather, wood, furs, and other natural materials
The forest is serene this morning as you head out along the trails. Birds are singing and the weather is crisp, perfect for working without breaking too much of a sweat. But as you approach the dead tree you’d marked the day before, you believe you hear something in the underbrush.
Your calloused, strong hand wraps around the handle of your Franciscan Axe. The edge is freshly sharpened, and you’re ready to defend yourself from any beast that you might find--relieved as a neighbor’s dog comes bounding out from a bush, instead.
Back to work.
DETAILS
This bestselling Epic Armoury Fransiscan Axe is a coreless latex throwing weapon inspired by the throwing axes of the early migration period. The fearsome Frankish tribesmen were known for breaking the lines of the Roman legions by throwing these heavy-headed axes, splitting the legionaries’ shields to devastating effect. Epic Armoury’s version has a heavy one-edged blade shaped to look like a mundane garden-variety splitting axe. The wood-grain decorated handle is curved, allowing a better throwing grip.
Made from durable closed cell foam and finished with a strong latex coating, you can feel confident that your LARP weapon will provide the safety and appeal you want when crafting your kit.
HISTORY
- Historically used by the fearsome Frankish tribesmen against the Roman legions
- Heavy-headed axes would be thrown against the Romans, splitting shields and breaking their lines
- First hafted axe was created about 6,000 B.C. using birch-tar and raw-hide lashings to fix the blade to its handle
A bow so long it should consider a career in political commentary.
Your prey is almost within range, tentative as she catches a whiff of something in the air. You have covered yourself in the dirt of the forest and smell more like pine than person, but the deer still seems uncertain. She steps forward and you pull back the string on your loaded Flatbow. This deer will feed you for the rest of the week, so you are careful as you take aim. You mustn’t miss your target if you are to eat.
With a sharp ‘thwap!’ your arrow hits its mark, clean and perfect. A painless end to a noble creature...and your dinner.
