Epic Armoury’s Green Noble Leather Couter is a pair of leather guards designed to protect the elbows. Molded and cut to provide the most protection to the entire elbow--including the sides and a portion of the arms--you can depend on this armour to keep you fighting. Most importantly, these couters also feature incredible details like scalloped leather, green velvet edging, and smooth leatherwork.

This Epic Armoury Imperial Gambeson is a padded long-sleeve coat covering the torso from neck, down over the hips on front and back. It can be worn on its own or serve as essential padding under mail or armour. The gambeson is donned like a jacket and closed on the front with a system of cotton cords, allowing the wearer to customize the tightness of the fit. The arms are easily detachable by untying its cotton cords on the shoulders and sleeves, each cord secured through long-lasting brass eyelets.
Thick enough to serve as its own armour, this sturdy gambeson is constructed with heavy layers of fluffed cotton canvas sandwiched between dyed wool on the outside and softer cotton lining on the inside. All these layers are stitched together in vertical lines, keeping the padding in place and mimicking a classic European high-medieval style.

Marius had been at the head of the household's guards for nearly three decades. Now far in his sixties, the wisened man-at-arms was easy to overlook. Crushed by the weight of years, he stood a few inches shorter than during his youth, and he had more grey than brown in his hair, whom he kept tightly in a single braid cascading between his shoulders. At first glance, he sure appeared sturdy for an old-timer but was way past his prime, with a stout granddad's body filling his gambeson armour. However, the veteran soldier seemed well respected by his warriors and was treated with the utmost reverence by the lord as well as his children. Most people assumed it was the reward for his long service in the household, but anytime Marius was forced to draw his blade, they understood very quickly that the captain of the guard wasn't in charge simply because of seniority.
This old weapons master was blessed with an elephant's memory, but he didn't care much about books or lore. What he learned were movements and patterns. Over his long lifetime fighting for his lord, he had used every weapon he could think of, fought in every kind of battle, seen countless fighters in action. It has been a long time since the man-at-arms had been surprised by anything in combat, and thus, he could easily predict his opponent moves like some sort of oracle, always slightly ahead. Even if he wasn't as fast or as strong as he used to be, he always knew the exact move to counter his enemy's strikes, and would often end any combat with a single perfectly-timed decisive blow. He wasn't fancy, he wasn't flashy, but he was deadly. The sturdy bastard sword he carried at his hip was all he needed to shut down anyone questioning his worth, and watching him draw it was always a lesson in humility for the ones that let his looks influence their judgement.

DETAILS
Epic Armoury’s Floating Elbow are a pair of couters designed to protect the elbows from lucky sword blows. Sculpted to provide the most protection to the entire elbow--including the sides and the top of the forearms--you can depend on this armour to keep you swinging. Overlapping plates provide comfort and flexibility, allowing great mobility on the battlefield.
Two leather straps are used to keep each of the Floating Elbow in place. Made of 1 mm mild steel and top-grain leather straps and fittings, these armour pieces are built to withstand the abuse of a LARP or reenactment with regular leather and metal armour care.

Epic Armoury’s Milanese Couter is a low-fantasy set of armour designed to protect the elbows--including the sides and a portion of the arms, thwarting even the craftiest rogue. Its shape is intended to not only block blows, but to deflect them away safely. A curved shelf is riveted and welded along its edge, catching strikes that would otherwise slide onto the arms.
The Milanese Couter is one piece, constructed using mild steel. One leather strap is used to keep each of the couters in place. Epic Armoury’s Gothic Arm Protection is a set of steel elbow cups--or couters--designed to protect the elbow joints. The elbow cups are rounded with reinforcing ridges and decorative steel rivets. Around the rim of each cup, a large V-shaped flange deflects blows away from the elbows. A half-rerebrace protects the upper arm while a vambrace protects the forearm below the couters. Top grain leather straps are used to close the braces and a third leather strap around the elbow keeps the piece in place.
The Gothic Arm Protection is made from mild steel with rolled edges that form ridges around the rims. The design is historically inspired by the renaissance, but the style and functionality is fully interchangeable with other Epic Armoury armours, allowing freedom to combine armours and customize a character’s looks to fit your needs.

Epic Armoury’s Enclosed Arm Protection is an essential for any person wanting to protect the arms while on a chaotic battlefield. This pair of vambraces features flexible elbow couters and vambraces attached to comfortable leather that enclose and protect the entire forearm.
