Epic Armoury’s Leg Protection consists of cuisses to protect the thighs, articulated poleyns covering the knees, and half demi-greaves protecting the upper shins and sides of the calves. The knee protection is articulated, composed of five overlaying plates and fitted with a projecting fishtail-shaped plate to protect the hamstrings. The poleyn is attached to the leather thigh guard, which is held up with a leather loop around the belt. Secure the leg protection firmly in place by tightening the leather straps around the thighs, knees and calves.
Ratio Leg Protection is fully usable with other Epic Armoury metal products, giving you the freedom to customize your character’s costume. Made of 1 mm thick galvanized mild steel and top-grain leather straps and fittings, this armour piece is built to withstand the abuse of a LARP or reenactment with regular leather and metal armour care.

DETAILS
Epic Armoury’s Ratio Tunic is a padded long-sleeve coat covering the torso from neck to the hips. It can be worn on its own or serve as essential padding under mail or armour. The tunic is donned by sliding it down over the head and is tightened around the waist with a cotton belt. Specifically designed to serve as padding for Epic Armoury’s Ratio armour, this sturdy tunic is constructed with heavy layers of fluffed cotton canvas sandwiched between layers of heavy cotton canvas along the sides and over the neck and shoulders. The heavy cotton sleeves are fitted with brass eyelets on a leather plate to allow the Ratio Elbows and Spaulders to be attached to the fabric.
The Ratio Tunic is fully usable with other Epic Armoury products, giving you the freedom to customize your character’s costume.This tunic is built to withstand the abuse of a LARP or reenactment with the proper fabric care.

A Noble’s Knee Protection
Epic Armoury’s Green Noble Leather Poleyns are a pair of leather guards designed to protect the knees from pesky arrows. Molded and cut to provide the most protection to the entire knee--including the sides and the top of the shins--you can depend on this armour to keep you up on your feet. Overlapping plates provide comfort and flexibility, allowing great mobility on the battlefield. Perhaps most importantly, these poleyns also feature incredible details like scalloped leather and green velvet edging, as well as the cut-out designs.
Made of hard top-grain leather, these armour pieces are built to withstand the abuse of a LARP or reenactment with regular leather care. Two leather straps are used to keep each of the Noble Poleyns in place. Brass eyelets along the shins and at the top of the poleyns can be used to attach to thigh and shin guards. Worn on their own or with an entire set of armour, these Noble Poleyns are sure to add some class to your costume.
HISTORY
- Typically created with metal, knee armour is considered one of the earliest form of plate armour to be developed
