The burnishing procedure may cause small spots similar to rain spatters. As the finish is applied individually for hand it is unique for every single set.

If you’d prefer your armour unburnished, and looking like a shiny warrior of light that constantly praises something, you can also easily remove the burnishing layer using a polishing cloth.

The greaves are long enough to also protect the wearer’s knees. The upper part is articulated making movements such as kneeling easier. The sweeping knee protection is another design element of this armour set giving it its bold characteristics. Broad cutouts for your feet, as well as bent edges, increase comfort for longer wearing.

Epic Armoury’s Gambeson Legs are a set of quilted cotton greaves designed to add comfort and protection beneath your leg armour. Made from quilted cotton canvas lined with a soft polyester interior and a medium cotton outer layer, they can be worn on their own or as padding beneath heavy steel or leather armour.

The Gambeson Legs are stitched to ensure the padding will remain evenly spaced. Secure them to your legs by tightening the cotton string lacing through brass eyelets up the calf. Quilted armours were common through many cultures and used across a broad expanse of time. With their neutral style, the Gambeson Legs will work on a wide variety of characters.

It consists of two interlaced moving segments; the interior front segment slants way down and rests against the torso, ensuring that neither your vision nor your breathing are impaired. The lower parts protecting the chest and back consist of moving plates. Two straps on either side are used to close the torso armour and adjust the fit.

Humidity, expansion and contraction in the heat, UV radiation, rain, and the withering blows of your enemies all conspire to expose your armour to rust, but worse yet, your very own precious bodily fluids conspire to corrode it from the inside with their impurities and corruption! (which is why we only ever drink pure grain alcohol or rainwater)

You could coat your armour (and other metal objects) in a regular run of the mill lubricant, but many of them are actively hydrophobic. Great for metal but terrible for leather, cotton and other organic materials!

Lanox MX4 is a lanolin rich lubricant, and lanolin is the oil that is naturally produced by sheep to prevent them from shrinking in the rain and generally remain weather proof! It is superior to many artificial compounds and does not damage leathers or organic fibres.

These are the "Markward" greaves, compatible to the rest of our "Markward" armour parts. They might be unadorned, but they look lean and elegant. Because of their simple design they fit many different armours and costumes you can combine them with.

ARMOURS FOR THE ADVENTUROUS MERCENARY

Epic Armoury’s Renegade Greaves are a set of 1mm mild steel leg guards designed to cover the shin and lower front leg, while also maintaining agility. The greaves consist of three metal plates that loops around the front of the shin and front leg. These three metal plates envelope most of your shin and front leg, while having two leather straps, on the upper part of the greave and on the bottom, that can secure themselves around your back leg. Due to the design of the Greaves, you can match them with anyone footwear that you would prefer, offering more comfort than similar design, that has an accompanying footwear.

The Renegade Greaves are designed to match Epic Armoury’s ‘Renegade’ set, a mercenary inspired armour set that has been designed for specifically female body sizes and types. The Renegade armour is perfect for the well-armed and armoured adventurers or the Rebellious individuals fighting against an unjust empire. Renegade armour is made in such a way that it can also be paired with other Epic Armoury armours, to grant you endless customization possibilities. To wear the Renegade Greaves, you have straps on the top and bottom of the greaves, make sure that each strap is tightly fitted in order to keep the Greave firmly in place.

The "Rikomer" plate armor is the brother of our "Dragomir" armor. Elaborately manufactured, it consists of a large number of lames and elements that, when combined, result in an extraordinary armor that can hardly be more agile. Every part from Rikomer is carefully flanged and coordinated with one another. Unlike "Dragomir", this armor is not decorated with beads and thus has an uncompromising, brutal look that contrasts with the finely shaped parts. Rikomer impresses with its design and the masterful execution that makes this armor so unique. It is also a more affordable than its brother "Dragomir".

Armor like this is usually only available as a custom-made product and we had to fiddle a long time before we could get it ready for serial production. Of course, the fit must and can be optimized here and there by careful bending, but we have designed the armor in such a way that it can be carried into the field with maximum comfort. The individual parts are burnished to protect them from rust, making the Rikomer burnished particularly suitable for dark knights and fighters of chaos.

We generally recommend wearing a gambeson and arm and leg paddings under plate armor. This significantly improves wearing comfort and protection.
