DETAILS

Epic Armoury’s Mercenary Torso Plate is a cuirass made from leather and steel covering the front and back of the wearer's torso. The front of this breastplate circles the wearer’s neck in an inverted U-shape, with the chest apex protecting the thorax before sloping around the ribcage to protect under the arms. The lower edge of the breast plate is slightly rounded, allowing it to fit around the crests of the hips and still cover the vulnerable pelvis. The steel plate is fitted on a brown leather suit, which straps to the back leather plate at the shoulders and the sides.

The Mercenary Torso Plate is designed to match Epic Armoury’s Mercenary Armour, but is fully usable with other Epic Armoury metal products, giving you the freedom to customize your character’s costume. Made of 1 mm thick mild steel and top-grain leather straps and fittings, this armour piece is built to withstand the abuse of a LARP or reenactment with regular leather and metal armour care.

There is a price to pay for armour. Armour protects your precious body - your one and only - but it has great weight and great material cost. No normal person can afford the blacksmith when desiring a suit of full plate. Thankfully, while your pocket is not deep, your skills are many.

You wear your minimal Soldier Belt Shields when you fight, because it doesn’t weigh you down. You are faster than your opponents...but also not so dumb as to go into a fight completely unprotected.

Epic Armoury’s Soldier Belt Shields are two plates designed to protect the thighs. These rolled edge steel plates hang from your own belt to cover the outer thighs, sliding into place using brown leather loops securely fastened with rivets. Each plate is 25cm long and 21cm wide, with two 24cm folded leather loops.

The Soldier Belt Shields armour features a curved edge and overlapping welded plates, influenced by the look of classic tassets that can be paired with a multitude of styles. This armour does not require assistance to equip, because it is very easy to put on and take off. Made of 1 mm thick galvanized mild steel and top-grain leather straps and fittings, this armour piece is built to withstand the abuse of a LARP or reenactment with regular leather and metal armour care.

Intimidation. It’s your main form of weaponry while facing the heroes, because it gives you full control. When your enemies fear you, they are more likely to make fatal mistakes.

Your Dark Drake Armour is as dark as your intentions, hardened by the evil magic your subjects provide. As you withdraw your sword, sizing up the quivering soldier who feels brave enough to stand against you, you begin to laugh. This will be a very brief fight--if you can even call it that. The little man looks barely strong enough to hold up his hammer.

Epic Armoury’s Dark Drake Upper Leg are tassets designed to protect the thigh and groin. The style is late medieval with rolled edged metal plates overlapping each other. Two sets of steel plates hang from the hips to cover the outer thighs. A third set of slimmer plates cover the groin area and provide some protection to the inner thighs. The set comes with a leather belt with suspenders to keep the piece in place. Each plate is treated with Epic Armoury’s Epic Dark Metal coat, which gives the armour a rugged, antique finish which matches its reptilian scale design.

Epic Armoury’s Epic Dark Rogue Tassets are a pair of metal armour pieces designed to protect the upper thigh. These tassets consist of overlapping metal and leather plates, providing simple laminate protection without hindering movement. Secured in place with leather cords tied to a breastplate or faulds, they hang freely against the leg.

The Rogue Tassets are designed to match Epic Armoury’s Rogue Armour, but are fully usable with other Epic Armoury metal products, giving you the freedom to customize your character’s costume. Made of 1 mm thick galvanized mild steel and top-grain leather, this armour set is built to withstand the abuse of a LARP or reenactment with regular leather and metal armour care.

The tassets for the "Galahad" armour set. Equipped with two buckles on the top, these tassets can be strapped to the front plate of the "Galahad" chestplate and cover the thighs.
Alternatively you may add them to any exsisting armour (which requires some handicraft works).

The plate pieces are made asymetrically, so each tassets has its place (left/right) to not interfere with the wearers movement.
Also you may paint your own heraldic colours on the tassets to show your side on the battlefield.

It wasn't so much a case of modesty, but rather the need for psychological warfare that the Orcs had recently discovered.

To have buttocks hidden, thereby making it  conscious decision to expose them, made it extra insulting to the enemy.
