Created in collaboration with Le Duché de Bicolline, La Duchesse represents the culmination of two universes linked by the same destiny. On the one hand, Bicolline, today the largest domain devoted to medieval fantasy role-playing games in North America, is celebrating the 25th anniversary of it's Battle. On the other hand, Calimacil, whose know-how for the creation of foam weapons for LARP continues to evolve, now relies on partnerships between the various LARP industry players.

The handle of La Duchesse proudly displays the seahorse, emblem of Bicolline, on its pommel and on each side of its hilt. The golden color gives it a majestic aspect that is sure to turn heads. The rest of the handle, more sober, gives it a striking realism. The suptile variations between silver and steel hues, between black and dark brown, allow the details of the grip and the guard to be raised. The blade has all the characteristics of the latest innovations from Calimacil. It strikes the perfect balance between safety and a realistic look. The illusion of sharpness is accentuated by a silver edging on a steel base. As a final touch, the base of the blade features engravings whose detail is revealed by a gold color on a black background.

La Marquise is the matching dagger to La Duchesse, Bicolline Battle’s 25th anniversary LARP sword. Their designs and color schemes intertwine in every possible way, and yet, the dagger feels very unique, far from just a side weapon when carrying both.

DETAILS

Epic Armoury’s Royal Elf Sword is a latex-hybrid medium weapon with incredibly realistic details inspired by the high-fantasy Ethereal Universe. The sword has a double-edged latex blade inspired by the slashing-effective leaf shape. The crossguard and handle is made of polyurethane, shaped and painted to look like carved gold and silver metal with a wooden core and red gem embellishment.

The style is easily compatible with Epic Armoury's other Ethereal range of blades, bows, armour and clothes, giving you the freedom to customize the style and gear for your prospective elven needs. The blade is made from closed cell foam around a fibreglass core and finished with a strong latex coating, while the handle is a polyurethane foam cast that allows for greater detail and no maintenance. “Look at him parading like he has a silver spoon up his arse!”, an old jestering crone with absolutely no teeth in her mouth shouts from the stands. Percyval pays no attention to the mockery but focuses on his contender, who is calmly waiting for him. A lot is at stake for him today...

Epic Armoury proudly presents yet another addition to the Stronghold line: Grasp the handle of our Stronghold Highborn Sword and surrender yourself to the ambience of nobility, chivalry and lavishness!

This sword has a 65cm fullered blade designed to be lightweight, while maintaining its structural stability. Made from EVA foam around a fibreglass core and finished with a strong and impressive paintwork, this sword is just as soft as any latex coated weapon but even more sturdy in battle!

 The longer version exhibits a 20 cm long, highly detailed spacer made from polyurethane foam, that is sculpted and hand painted to look like filigree decorated dark steel embellished with subtle light steel details. The coloured crossguard is adorned with a loop-guard inspired by ivy and fleur-de-lis symbols, and the handle is cast and painted to appear like wood. An intricate scent stopper pommel at the end of the handle crowns this magnificent sword as a sovereign amongst our Stronghold Swords.

 Due to the density of the blade, there is a chance of paint being rubbed off due to the friction caused when the blade and another dry surface makes contact. To mitigate this, we advise maintenance be performed with Epic Armoury Protection Gel rather than regular silicone maintenance sprays.
