The best defence in life means nothing if it is eaten away by time and the elements, or even attacked from the inside.
And so it is with your own armour!
Humidity, expansion and contraction in the heat, UV radiation, rain, and the withering blows of your enemies all conspire to expose your armour to rust, but worse yet, your very own precious bodily fluids conspire to corrode it from the inside with their impurities and corruption! (which is why we only ever drink pure grain alcohol or rainwater)

You could coat your armour (and other metal objects) in a regular run of the mill lubricant, but many of them are actively hydrophobic. Great for metal but terrible for leather, cotton and other organic materials!

Lanox MX4 is a lanolin rich lubricant, and lanolin is the oil that is naturally produced by sheep to prevent them from shrinking in the rain and generally remain weather proof! It is superior to many artificial compounds and does not damage leathers or organic fibres.

The "Mina" line was made as an armour for women, drawing from historical and fantasy sources for inspiration.

The spaulders are, just like the entire "Mina" series, built similary to the "Balthasar" series: decorations with rivets along the edge beading are a returning design element in both armours. Both armour series can easily be combined with each other. A slim built and swung lines provide a delicate shape to these spaulders. Two moving pieces are flexibly attached by a leather strap to the top plate. The spaulders do not overlap the chest plate and are fastened to the gorget on the top and the upper arm with the bottom strap. Naturally the spaulders can be combined with any other gorget from Mytholon.

Epic Armoury’s Rogue Neck and Shoulders is an articulated set of armour designed to provide protection for the neck, shoulders, upper arms and chest. The armour is a six-piece set: a two piece gorget, two shoulders, and two upper arm guards. The gorget covers the thorax to the sternum and is furnished with both metal and leather. The gorget and shoulders are attached with top-grain leather straps and a strong cord. In addition, a strong leather strap is adjusted around the chest.

The shoulders are composed of pauldrons and arm guards covering the shoulder-joint and upper arms. The top of the pauldron scoops upward, creating a ridge meant to deflect blows. The shoulder plates are strapped on at the gorget and connect to the upper arm plate, which is secured around the biceps with an adjustable leather strap.

The Rogue Neck and Shoulders is made from top-grain leather and galvanized mild steel with rolled edges that form ridges around the rims. The design is inspired by assassins and rogues, but the style and functionality is fully interchangeable with other Epic Armoury armours, allowing freedom to combine armours and customize a character’s looks to fit your needs.

Epic Armoury’s Shoulder Plate Giant Dark Warrior are a set of two shoulder guards designed to protect the shoulder-joints and upper arm. This armour’s metal plates overlap one another to provide complete laminate protection. Overlaying the spaulders is a large pauldron, which provides additional protection to joints and armpits. Atop the pauldron a vertical plate sword breaker catches and deflects blows before they can impact the head. The sword breaker is slightly concave and somewhat higher at the back than the front, thus providing protection without impairing vision. Although the armour is designed to match Epic Armoury’s ‘Dark Warrior’ set, it is fully interchangeable with other Epic Armoury armours in order to fully customize your character’s look.

Secure the Shoulder Plate Giant Dark Warrior by tightening the top leather strap onto a breast- or neck-plate, adjusting so that the armour sits comfortably over the shoulder. Keep the armour from further moving by securing an additional top leather strap around the upper arm. Made of 1 mm thick galvanized mild steel and top-grain leather straps and fittings, this armour piece is built to withstand the abuse of a LARP or reenactment with regular leather and metal armour care.
