The master blacksmith hammers the blade, infusing it with the spirit of our ancestors who fought valiantly to defend our land. Epic Armoury’s Dane Axe is a deadly 150 cm two-handed axe fit for swift viking raids and ideal for breaking up shield-walls and battle formations. It has a 22 cm long axe-blade with a 20 cm edge. The head is made of soft foam, reinforced with a harder foam core. It attaches to the wood textured shaft which is handpainted to look like real wood grain.

The Halberd’s axe-like head has a 35 cm blade for chopping, a long spear for piercing, and a claw-like spike for grappling. The axe-head is specially reinforced to make the weapon durable and versatile. Handpainted and sculpted to appear realistic, detailed metal and bolts run along the pole, which is carved to appear like worn wood.

Legend

The legend says that, during the ritual to crown him king, Baruk Otrygson broke the centuries-old tradition of the king using the ancestral sword, linked to his title. Wanting to show everyone he was bringing change to this world, he had himself made a new weapon to become the sign of royalty and power: an axe.
A few opposed such decision, but the Viking’s iron will made them bend the knee one after the other. He wanted to show that he would be able to bring great change and good to their community. With this axe to his side, he achieved the feats that he is now known for.

Workshop

The updated Baruk axe features a steel head with a silver edge and a cross of bright gold. Its simple wood-like handle is light brown. The whole weapon is made of our safe and durable Calimacil foam, for years of harsh use!
