Epic Armoury’s Kingsguard Halberd is a 190 cm latex poleaxe inspired by a weapon commonly used during the late medieval period. The Kingsguard Halberd’s axe-like head has a 47 cm blade for chopping, a long spear for piercing, and a claw-like spike for grappling. The axe-head is hand painted and sculpted to appear realistic, detailed with golden carved vines to give it a rich, royal appearance.

Practical Protection for the Arms

Epic Armoury’s Soldier Arm Protection is a complete set of vambraces, rerebraces, and elbow cups. Designed to protect the outside of the entire arm, this handmade armour is made from 1mm steel and connected by chrome leather straps and strong rivets. The elbow cups--also known as couters--protect the elbow joint thanks to its rounded shape and reinforced ridges. The inside of the elbow features a cupped flange to deflect blows. The upper arm is protected by the half-rerebrace, while the lower arm is protected by the vambrace.

The Soldier’s Arm Protection has rolled edges that form ridges around the rims. Three chrome leather straps are used to secure the armour to your arm, and the top of the rerebrace is attached to the gambeson using canvas ties through a leather plate. With regular leather and metal care you can expect this quality made armour to last for a long time!

Epic Armoury’s Footman’s Mace is a low-fantasy latex weapon designed to intimidate armoured knights on the battlefield. The mace is 80 cm with a small 11 cm long flanged head designed to penetrate chainmail and plate alike. Each of the six flanges is 8 cm long and V-shaped, realistically sculpted to appear riveted. The haft is hexagonal with sculpted and handpainted iron bands to serve as optional grips and structural support. Top-grain leather wraps around the 18 cm handle, giving this mace an exceptionally durable grip.

Epic Armoury’s Dane Axe is a deadly 150 cm two-handed axe fit for swift viking raids and ideal for breaking up shield-walls and battle formations. It has a 22 cm long axe-blade with a 20 cm edge. The head is made of soft foam, reinforced with a harder foam core. It attaches to the wood textured shaft which is handpainted to look like real wood grain.

With an elegant crescent-shaped head curving back towards the wood-textured haft, this axe is made to be effective in semi-ranged combat. The head has a long curved 70cm edge and is made to look like the feathers of a bird, and its 16 cm width is secured to the haft by a decorative gold plate. The total length of the weapon is 150 cm, sculpted and painted with great realism.

Epic Armoury’s Pike Pole is a 90cm spear designed for infantry, inspired by both the glaive and pike. It features a long bladed spearhead with a clawed spike, sculpted and hand painted to look like real metal. The head is actually made of soft foam, reinforced with a harder foam core. It attaches to the hand painted shaft, textured to look like dark wood. The grip is shorter to allow for better close combat.

HISTORY

• A true pike would feature a spearhead without a blade or claw
• Pikes and bladed spears often competed in length to outmatch opponents
• Was not historically great in close combat, but this version has been shortened to be more wieldy on the battlefield

Though the King’s Guard usually protected the king in the throne room and beyond, a detachment was sometimes sent to reinforce the battle line. Kurt’s command was one of these detachments. He could smell the enemy from here. A sickly rotten smell, like a deer carcass on a hot summer day, mixed with the smell of steel. He looked sternly at his men as they were lining up for battle and shouted, “Stand to!!” Hearing his words, the men closed the ranks and held their weapons. “Advance! For king and country!”

Epic Armoury's Long Kingsguard Halberd, also known as the Long Imperial Halberd, is a 220cm long halberd, such as those used in the late Middle Ages.
It has a spearhead for taking on cavalry, an axe blade for slashing at enemy footsolders and taking out cavalry that'd been dismounted, and a spike for removing shields and disarming opponents. It is made with a fibreglass core, around which there is a durable closed-cell foam, finished off with a strong latex coating. This ensures the safety, durability and appearance of your weapon.
The Halberd comes in two parts that connect via a threaded bolt system, and you can use the upper part as a shorter weapon. If you do, make sure you cover the bolt before use.
