Suddenly you grow quiet, clutching tightly around the leather of your sword’s handle as you hear nearby voices. Just around the next tree you spot two of the enemy’s scouts...and they look just as lost as you do. Perhaps there is more going on here than you first realized.

DETAILS

Stronghold’s Scout Sword is a medium sword inspired by nordic weaponry. The sword is 75 cm long and has a 58 cm double-edged blade with a central ridge. The handle has a lot of detail, including a curved crossguard and ‘cocked-hat’ pommel--both similar to those seen on uncovered Viking swords. The crossguard and pommel are handpainted to looks like faded iron and bronze. The 10 cm grip is cast and painted to look like woven leather, ergonomically shaped to fit the hand comfortably.

Stronghold weapons are foam weapons designed for tough combat at LARPs. They require no maintenance, unlike latex weapons, and feature detailed polyurethane handles.

This Stronghold blade is crafted using a unique Epic Foam that weighs the same as latex without requiring the constant upkeep. Additionally, the blade tip is stab-proof thanks to our new innovative construction. Epic Armoury’s Scout Belt Shields are two plates designed to protect the thighs. These rolled edged steel plates hang from your own belt to cover the outer thighs, sliding into place using brown leather loops securely fastened with rivets. Each plate is 25cm long and 21cm wide, with two 24cm folded leather loops.

The Scout’s Belt Shield armour is designed to be simple, giving you the freedom to customize your character’s costume by pairing it with a multitude of styles. This armour also does not require assistance to equip, because it is very easy to put on and take off. Made of 1 mm thick galvanized mild steel and top-grain leather straps and fittings, this armour piece is built to withstand the abuse of a LARP or reenactment with regular leather and metal armour care.

Epic Armoury’s Scouts Torso Armour is a simple low-fantasy breastplate and backplate protecting the upper torso. The plates comes down to the waist, allowing for increased flexibility compared to a traditional breastplate. Both the front and back plates are made from 1 mm thick mild steel, and are secured with top-grain leather straps at the shoulders and around the ribs.

Sculpted to fit the body and add structural strength to the steel, this steel riveted piece has been polished to a high-gloss finish to appeal to the knights in shining armour. The Scouts Torso Armour is neutral in style. Wear it alone or with shoulderguards and a helmet of your choice--we definitely recommend a gambeson! LOOKS CAN BE DECIEVING

First of all: this sword is no virgin. Designed to appear as though it has seen countless battles, Epic Armoury’s Battleworn Ranger Sword comes with a non-pristine look like rusty spots and nicks and scratches. It looks grimed, aged and not at all well-cared for. Secondly, it has character; it could very likely be the trusty blade of a heroic outlaw or an unscrupulous assassin. Maybe it got picked up by a scavenging orc as stolen goods after a battle, or maybe it belongs to a daughter of a nomadic warrior clan. Epic Armoury’s Medium Full Scabbard is a long leather scabbard designed to protect your weapon from the elements, while keeping it conveniently close. This 71 cm scabbard will accommodate a weapon up to 9 cm wide. Soft polyester-wool padding has been added to the inside of the hoop to protect your weapon, while also making it easy to withdraw from the scabbard.

Match this Medium Full Scabbard with any character you wish to equip by securing the holder to your belt through the belt straps. One strap is longer than the other, so the scabbard will sit on the belt at a comfortable angle.  This 105 cm sword has a 67 cm fullered blade designed to be lightweight, while maintaining its structural stability. Made from EVA foam around a fibreglass core and finished with a strong and impressive paintwork, this sword is just as soft as any latex coated weapon but even more sturdy in battle!

 The longer version exhibits a 20 cm long fullered spacer made from polyurethane foam, that is sculpted and hand painted. The gold coloured crescent crossguard is embellished with subtle steel details, and the handle is cast and painted to appear like brown criss-crossed leather. A flat crescent pommel at the end of the handle stands as a promise, that this no-fuss-sword will get the job done for you.

Due to the density of the blade, there is a chance of paint being rubbed off due to the friction caused when the blade and another dry surface makes contact. To mitigate this, we advise you to coat the blade with Epic Armoury Protection Gel rather than regular maintenance silicone spray, which will reduce the friction and in turn stress on the paint.
