SAVAGE SAFEGUARD

Taking inspiration from the semi-curved kite shaped shields used by the Normans of the early Middle Ages, the Maurauder Kite Shield works just as well for a goblin invader or a brutal orc from a high fantasy realm as it would for a battleworn European knight from the ninth century or a pillaging Viking.

Crafted from durable closed cell foam and coated with latex, this shield is more than ready for LARP battle. Sculpted and hand-painted with realistic details like scratches and notches, this shield features a dark matte metallic finish and metallic trim with rivets. A stylized cross appears at the center. Maintain your hold on this savage shield with the tri-position grip and adjustable buckle straps found on the inner side.

Designed to be the maximum allowable size under the Swordcraft rules set, this shield has the Epic Armoury tri-position grip to allow you to hold it no matter what style of shield bearer you need to be.

HISTORY

• Also referred to as a “kite” shield, originally from the 10th-12th centuries

• Made from non-splintering wood, such as alder, fir, poplar, or linden

The bone-like hilt is white in color with black damaged leather bandages (imitation) gives a rather gruesome look to this sacrificial knife. The sinuous steel-colored Kriss blade perfectly complements the handle. Both the blade and the hilt are made of Calimacil foam to ensures comfort and safety.

Legend

Character

This primitive and wild looking dagger will lend itself particularly well to a shaman, an animal character, a wild child, etc. Its bone handle can also lend itself well to necromancers, assassins, orcs and other characters closely or remotely touching death or in the wild.

DETAILS

Epic Armoury’s Devil Horns contains two curved latex-prosthetic horns sculpted to look like demonic horns with vertical ridges. The horns are 6 cm long with a strong curve and tusk-like texture. The large contact-surfaces makes it easy to fasten and keep the horns attached for sustained periods of time. Application of this prosthetic is easy using Epic Effect Prosthetic Power Glue, Mastix Spirit Gum or other prosthetic adhesive. Use these horns for your fiendish costume, or for a character who has been afflicted with dark or infernal powers.

These Devil's Horns can easily be painted to match the style you desire using Epic Effects Make-Ups.

DETAILS

Epic Armoury’s Bone Scimitar is a latex-hybrid medium sword for the cruel necromancer or dark villain. The sword is 85 cm long from tip to pommel, with a curved single-edged blade. The detailed crossguard features gold accents and a sculpted grip, allowing optimal maneuverability and comfort for the hand. The handle is cast to look like a bleached bone, and it and the deadly blade are both painted to look like bleached bone.

With a dark, dangerous appearance, this Bone Scimitar is our highest quality gear due to its impressive durability and detail. Epic Armoury’s Inferno Footman is a long latex-hybrid sword inspired by fantasy lore. The sword is 100 cm long and has a blade of glowing brimstone. The crossguard features a subtle curved design that protects a 13 cm grip. This grip, wrapped in real leather, is ergonomic and ends with a “scent stopper” pommel.

A Blade for the Hearty and Agile Fighter

Epic Armoury’s Caprine Sword is a hybrid LARP sword inspired by fantasy and designed to fit in the hands of the mountainous rangers we so love. Featuring a long latex blade with a deep fuller and a scalloped ricasso, the Caprine is a longsword handmade and hand painted to look like real steel with a brass ram hilt. The pommel is sculpted to look like a cloven hoof.

The Caprine Sword’s blade is made out of soft EVA foam around a 10 mm solid fibreglass rod core--chosen for its durability and safety. It is coated with latex for its smooth appearance and to minimize shredding. The 34 cm handle is made of polyurethane for its high detail, and the 14 cm grip is wrapped in leather.

There are those that fear the draug and the mighty blades that they wield. Those people have yet to meet true fear, for at least you can hit one of the drauger and, if you are made of the stuff of heroes, come away to tell the tale.

Epic Armoury’s Nightmare Blade is a hybrid LARP sword with unique and asymmetric detail, designed for the greatest of barbarians. Featuring a notched and worn blade with a long ridge and a decorated ricasso, the Nightmare Blade is a longsword handmade and hand painted to look like real steel with antique gold embellishments. The pommel is shaped like a scent stopper, decorated in gold diamond-shaped ridges.

The Nightmare’s blade is made out of soft EVA foam around a solid fibreglass rod core--chosen for its durability and safety. It is coated with latex for its smooth appearance and to minimize shredding. The 37 cm handle is made of polyurethane for its high detail, and the 17 cm grip is wrapped in leather.
