Epic Armoury’s Sword Holder is a leather frog designed to keep your weapon handy and angled to prevent being entangled during battle. Embellished with a pointed cut, this frog is 13 cm long, open at both ends, and will accommodate a weapon up to 5 cm in diameter. Soft split-leather has been added to the inside of the hoop to protect your weapon, also providing just enough resistance to keep your weapon from falling out without making it difficult to withdraw.

Match this Sword Holder with any character you wish to equip by securing the holder to your belt through the 7 cm belt loop. Made from vegetable-tanned full-grain leather and stitched around the edges, this weapon holder is built to keep its shape and withstand the abuse of a LARP with regular leather care.

"I feel lied to, Alan!" Samuel yelled as another arrow pinged off the wide brim of his helm

"Not much for it now. It's not like we can stop halfway through and enjoy a slice of orange and a mug of water, is HAAAA!"

They both stared at the quivering shaft that now protruded from Alan's chainmail. The links were completely useless against the bodkin heads. The soldier sagged to his knees amoung the muck of the churned earth and fallen bodies, tears in his eyes as he grasped at the wood piercing him. Samuel rushed ot his side, grabbing Alan's wrists.

"No, you fool! You remove that and you'll just bleed out." He dropped to be level with Alan, both men in the mud as the battle raged on about both men. The din of the battle, it's clanging steel and screaming men faded away for Samuel as he held onto his brother-in-arms. 

"You were lied to, S-Sammy," Alan gasped "We... we were never..." 

Alan coughed blood as he whispered his last "Never going to make it to the...to the juice vault..."

Epic Armoury’s Visored Barbuta is a gracefully curved full-helmet with a distinctive visor. The visor is movable and can be flipped up over the helmet. Whether up or down, the visor can be locked in place with a pin-and-chain. The visor has two rectangular eye-slits, flat nose and a large Maltese-Cross breathing-hole. Wrought to follow the shape of the head and reinforced with a low crest from forehead to neck, the helmet is elegant while still being comfortable to wear.

The helmet gives full protection to head except at the throat. The Barbuta was used mainly by the flamboyant Italian mercenaries of the renaissance and was favoured with light troops for the mix of protection and excellent visibility. Made to wear with renaissance style clothes, it has a high-fantasy feel that will fit with a lot of characters.

Epic Armoury’s Footman Sword is a medium latex-hybrid sword inspired by medieval weapons and fantasy lore alike. The sword is 85 cm long and has a 62 cm blade with a long fuller. The crossguard features a subtle curved design that protects a 13 cm grip. This grip, designed to look like real leather, is ergonomic and ends with a “scent stopper” pommel.

Rolant unties his horse from the hitching post in front of the scrubby tavern. After asking around for the girl that he is targeting, he is even more disgruntled. What seemed to be a rather uncomplicated task, has turned into a sly cat-and-mouse game, and it pesters him achingly.

His employer Lord Arick had been furious with the situation, that had cost him a considerable amount of gold and a handful of his better guards. ”This defier of the law must be stopped! That little turncoat, should never ever see the light of day again!”, the fat old galoot had spat at him. As Rolant mounts his blue roan and rides towards Hincam Forest, he expects no lucky breakthroughs, but then a thought strikes him...

Yet another valiant member emerges from the forge to join the line of Stronghold: Epic Armoury’s Stronghold Knightly Sword, the executor of justice!

The sword has a 65 cm fullered blade designed to be lightweight, while maintaining its structural stability. Made from EVA foam around a fibreglass core and finished with a strong and impressive paintwork, this sword is just as soft as any latex coated weapon but even more sturdy in battle!

The longer version exhibits a 20 cm long, fullered spacer made from polyurethane foam, that is sculpted and hand painted to give it a patina finish. The gold coloured crossguard is embellished with subtle steel details, and the handle is cast and painted to appear like brown leather. A simple circular pommel at the end of the handle stands as a promise, that this sword will take no nonsense and bring justice whenever it is needed.

Due to the density of the blade, there is a chance of paint being rubbed off due to the friction caused when the blade and another dry surface makes contact. To mitigate this, we advise you to coat the blade with Epic Armoury Protection Gel rather than regular maintenance silicone spray, which will reduce the friction and in turn stress on the paint.

On the tenth night of the siege, the attackers revealed their true colours. Until now, they had attacked only in small skirmishes, climbing walls at various points to test the defenders' numbers and to spot any weakness. But on that fateful night, they unleashed a full-scale assault, showing to the castle inhabitants that they had colluded with a goblin horde to flesh out their army before the attack. Using goblin mercenaries was a clear sign of infamy, for the nasty little creatures were known cannibals, and thus would often deny an honourable surrender to the defenders. By hiring them, the attackers were aiming for a quick victory, the monster providing a clear numerical advantage, and the useful capacity to climb stone walls without any siege equipment. However, their plan backfired horribly.

At the first sight of the goblins, panic quickly spread among the denizens of Castle Valdemar. Everyone knew such a horde meant assured death for them all... if they managed to take the castle. As the walls were getting overwhelmed and breached at many points by the green tide, a mismatched troop of stalwart defenders emerged from the lord's armoury, clad in ill-sized armors and wielding mass-produced swords meant for levied troops. They were blacksmiths, stonemasons, apprentices, stable boys, maids, even scribes. Many had seen too many seasons, or too few, but spurred on by desperation, the brave mob swarmed across the wavering defences, helping the struggling guards and knights fend off the attack. By the next morning, the humiliated goblin horde, untrustworthy at their best, had abandoned the enemy camp, leaving with all their employer's supplies in the process. The siege was over. won by the valiant effort of those who picked up a sword and fought for survival.

The soldier sword is a versatile weapon that can suit a large array of fantasy characters in LARP. Its classic medieval design makes it a great choice for a first purchase, as it can be used for many themes, but its dark color can also make it a good pick for more sinister concepts.
