Ten years it has been. Ten years since the Red Terror came for its tribute of gold and gem. Ten years since my father, in all his bravery, tried to deny it. Unfortunately though, no one can say no to a dragon and stay there to tell the tale. 

That is, unless, they are like me. I have trained relentlessly. Climbed the rank of the order. Slew more wyrms than I can count. And now, ten years later, I am in front of the city's gate with my most trusted friend Nimilgyr at my side. No, I will not meet the same fate as my father, and yes, I will avenge his memory.

Workshop

The Amrug LARP sword is part of our Calisoft lineup. It features a softer foam, perfect for light combat or for kids. The blade is gray and very flexible, and the handle is steel-colored and black. The pommel and guard have detailed dragon engravings for a fantasy look.

Character

You’ve been on the run from the bandit gang all night after escaping from their hideout, and while they scour the roads and search in town, you’ve taken to the woods. You’re a smart adventurer, after all--or at least one that is smart enough to still be alive.

Hiding in the underbrush and using your Ready-for-Battle Cape for warmth, you decide to wait the bandits out until you can sneak away with their loot. Of course, your plan doesn’t really account for the possibility of running into wild beasts.

Here’s hoping the wolves aren’t hungry.

DETAILS

This Ready-for-Battle Cape is an advanced semi-circular cape: short at the flanks, long at the back, and fitted with a hood with cotton-strap fastenings. This design combines ease of movement with the best degree of protection from the elements. Made from durable cotton, this cape is easily made water resistant with a treatment at home.

Capes make great accessories if you need to add layering to your character’s costume, as capes have become almost synonymous with medieval and fantasy clothing. Capes are also highly practical in limiting the impact of wind, rain or sun.

The Ready-for-Battle Cape is a classic cut and will be usable by any character in any game world, allowing freedom when customizing equipment for your characters.

A simple leather loop to keep your sword at your side.

Just remember to get one on each side or your pants are going to feel oddly unbalanced in a way that can't be accounted for when bragging at the tavern bar.

DETAILS

Epic Armoury’s Sword Holder is a leather frog designed to keep your weapon handy and angled to prevent being entangled during battle. Embellished with a pointed cut, this frog is 13 cm long, open at both ends, and will accommodate a weapon up to 5 cm in diameter. Soft split-leather has been added to the inside of the hoop to protect your weapon, also providing just enough resistance to keep your weapon from falling out without making it difficult to withdraw.

Match this Sword Holder with any character you wish to equip by securing the holder to your belt through the 7 cm belt loop. Made from vegetable-tanned full-grain leather and stitched around the edges, this weapon holder is built to keep its shape and withstand the abuse of a LARP with regular leather care.

The RFB kite shield is a great shield for people at all levels.

Its light weight and medium size with diagnol buckle up grip position make it ideal for all but the heaviest of fighters.

You assume the bandits are going to kill you when they realize no one is going to pay an Adventurer’s ransom, but for now they leave you tied up in the cellar of an old farmhouse. They took your weapon. Worst of all they took your pride...but they did not take your uncanny ability to wiggle out of ropes!

Free at last, you scan the old cellar for something useful. That’s when you spot a Kite Shield in the corner. The dust suggests that it’s been there for a while, but upon inspection you can see that the wood and metal rim are still good. The grip is solid in your hand and for the first time you have a small hope that with this added defense you might be able to muscle your way out of this situation after all!

This Ready-For-Battle Kite Shield is a semi-curved, kite-shield inspired by 10th to 12th century Normans. With a wooden texture and finished to look like wood grain and an iron rim, this shield will fit perfectly in the hands of an adventurer or infantryman. While the design is simple, this Kite Shield is timeless and classic, and can fit almost any LARP game you can find.

Wear this Kite Shield left-handed with the use of two leather arm straps on the back, secured through hard EVA foam for a reliable and solid grip made to last. Feel confident that this latex shield will withstand the continued abuse of a LARP with regular latex maintenance.
