The faux leather Pirate Hat from Epic Armoury is made for Vegan Larpers seeking all-weather protection. Made from thick polyurethane material, this tricorn hat fits well with colonials and pirates. It has a very wide brim that has been pinned up on three sides?, giving the period hat three corners or points. This triangular hat comes in three sizes and is decorated with an elegant canvas laced trim around the brim. This buccaneer hat is reinforced with heavy stitching and will not rot or absorb water. Making the perfect costume piece for any hardened adventurer.

Oh, so many new faces, new recruits to train! All young men and a few women try their utmost to become musketeers, to serve the King. It is my duty to choose the strongest, noblest and most elegant of them, and to transform them into respected gentlemen that will give their life for the country.

My time of adventuring has long passed. I’ve seen my share of diplomacy, and of war. But I could not simply go into retirement. I wanted to leave something behind, to serve my King once again. That’s why I became a teacher, an instructor, and all the new recruits come before me. I doubt that some will become as legendary as the former musketeers, but I will do all I can for them to try, sword in hand!

Workshop

This new rapier introduces a new handle to Calimacil’s arsenal. The black handle is ornate with golden details and flowery patterns while the blade is steel-coloured. The blade is flexible enough to allow thrusting blows without danger. The guard is, like the rest of the weapon, made from our safe Calimacil foam, so it will bend but not break for a great durability. The whole sword is incredibly realistic, making it perfect for historic reconstitution and LARP alike.

Characters

Perfect for musketeers, this rapier could also be used by conquistadors or lone swashbucklers. Great as a symbol of status, the sword was often seen hanging from the belt of noblemen and aspiring merchants.

The pirates are attempting to board your ship! It’s a terrible battle at sea, your own crew scrambling at the defensive. How will you overcome such a frightening enemy?

As the pirate ship begins to launch their grappling lines, you reach for your Boarding Axe. You’ve used this as a tool aboard the ship, but it now comes in handy as you sever a grappling line in twain. Screams of fright fill the air as the boarding pirates fall into the watery depths.

Epic Armoury’s Boarding Axe is a heavy 62 cm axe designed for sailors and swashbucklers. It has an axe-blade with a 15 cm blade, and along with its spike, it is great for both attacking your enemy and chopping down doors when attempting to commandeer a ship! The short hooked axe head is hand painted to look like real metal (although it is made of soft foam), and is attached to the handle designed to look like weathered wood.

Made from durable closed cell foam around a solid 10 mm fibreglass core and finished with a strong latex coating, your new LARP axe will provide the safety and appeal you want when crafting your Defiant kit.

HISTORY

• The first hafted axe was created about 6,000 B.C. using birch-tar and raw-hide lashings to fix the blade to its handle
• Many battle axes doubled as tools and were cheaper to make than swords
• Boarding axes were designed to be heavy to cut through grappling lines, and were used during the 17th and 18th centuries

Hours inside the dungeon and you only manage to find one measly copper, despite all the monsters you’ve put to rest. Today is just not your day.

You are part of a small group of men that have been secretly conspiring against your captain for weeks now. The Prescott jack boots  are made of soft, vegan suitable imitation leather with a light lining. They keep your feet warm and dry in bad weather. Ideal for pirates and sailors, they are also suited to adventurers, knights and noble characters.

While imitation leather boots are more weather resistant than ungreased leather boots and do not so quickly soak in the rain, please note that Prescotts are costuming quality boots and are not designed for long use in combat conditions.

Aradani Studios elf ears are considered by many as the best costume prosthetics in the world. These are hand-crafted in our home studio by the artists of Aradani with attention to detail and quality.

Not only do we hand make and inspect each set of ears, we try to use the highest quality materials we can find. Often on the road we are told our ears last for years of use, with some people coming back with the same ears after 6-7 years of wearing them!  You can attach these ears with spirit gum or liquid latex (personally we recommend spirit gum). The seam lines can be blended with latex or hidden with the use of an ear cuff as shown in the picture.

These are handcrafted in our home studio, by the artists of Aradani, with attention to detail and quality. 

Aradani Studios was founded in 2002 by the Bielaczyc siblings, Michael, Paul and Sara. Their original intention was to work at the Tennessee Renaissance Festival as a part-time endeavor, a way for them to spend time together and have some fun selling artwork. So many people were interested in Paul's elven costume, particularly the pointed ears, that the they decided that they would add elf ears to the business. The following weekend, the Bielaczyc's began what Aradani Studios is best known for: hand-painting elf ears to blend in naturally with people's skin tone.

What began as a once a year activity for the brothers expanded in 2003 to include three Renaissance festivals and multiple conventions around the country. During this time, Aradani Studios carried a variety of other brands, but didn't manufacture any of their own products. However, with customers requesting custom prosthetics at every show, they decided it was time to expand.

Starting early in 2005, they began sculpting and producing their own line of prosthetics, by 2007, over 90% of the products they sold were created in house, made and manufactured in Nashville, Tennessee. Customers all over the world have enjoyed Aradani elf ears and masks.

Aside from latex prosthetics and jewelry, Michael and Paul Bielaczyc are acclaimed fantasy artists, winning awards all over the country and working for companies such as Dragonlance and Apex Digest. Their work can be seen in shows across the Southeast and various publications.

The Ready For Battle Laced Belt – Faux Leather is a vegan alternative to the Ready For Battle Laced Belt. It fits various characters and is practical for attaching weapon holders, pouches and other equipment. The belt is made from polyurethane leather and laced at the edges from end to end.
