The Epic Armoury  Sun Hammer combines many of the lessons we have learnt over the past decade in the creation of what can only be described as "Anime Class" weapons. Epic Armoury’s Sun Hammer is a 135cm latex hammer uniquely designed to be safer and easier to wield in combat. The Sun Hammer’s 39cm long head is asymmetrical, featuring a flat 20cm wide face on one end and a spike on the other. The head is hollow, making it safer to use and more lightweight than a foam alternative. Sculpted and hand painted to look like dwarven forged metal, the head is attached to a similarly decorated haft and a 49cm black leather wrapped grip.

The haft is made from durable closed cell foam around a fibreglass core and finished with a strong latex coating. The head is made of strong, flexible latex with an interior foam rod to maintain its shape and keep the head attached to the haft. With regular latex maintenance, your LARP weapon will provide the safety and aesthetic appeal fitting an epic character for years to come.

HISTORY

• A late medieval weapon designed to damage armoured opponents without penetrating through plate

Epic Armoury’s Haxe is a deadly 85 cm axe designed for a cunning fighter. It has a 16 cm long axe-blade and an opposite hammerhead for the most effective fight against armour. The head is hand painted to look like real metal embellished with engraved crosses, and it is made of safe, soft foam. The bladed head attaches to the shaft which is hand painted and sculpted to look like matching, ridged metal. The 12 cm grip at the end of the Haxe is wrapped in suede leather for appearance and comfort.

How do you think that we, the Swiss people, were able to keep the peace in our lands, free from invaders and wars, through all the scarring conflicts of the Renaissance? While the French were fighting with straight swords, and southerners with curved ones, we had a great advantage: their blades never reached their foes. Our halberds kept the best knights at bay, and a simple battle formation could stop the most persistent riders.

The solution was really that simple. Put a longer shaft behind the blade, and you’ll stay alive longer. With our halberds, we will surely be able to keep the peace in our lands for centuries to come!

Workshop

Calimacil’s halberd head gets revamped! Safe as always with its almost indestructible foam, softer than regular Calimacil weapons, its appearance becomes more realistic than ever, with a forged metal texture and steel-coloured blade. Some silver highlights complete the illusion. It is possible to mount this halberd head on multiple shafts, like bamboo and PVC, so any character can be at home with one of these weapons.
