Epic Armoury’s Celtic Leaf Sword is a latex-hybrid short sword inspired by the Celtic tribes of early history. The sword is 60 cm long from tip to pommel, with a double-edged blade designed for chopping thanks to its leaf-like shape. The detailed crossguard and crescent pommel features gold accents and protects a sculpted grip. The handle is cast and painted to look like leather and is ergonomically shaped, allowing for comfort and an impressive appearance without requiring leather maintenance.

With a tribal appearance, this Celtic Leaf Sword is our highest quality gear due to its impressive durability and detail. The blade is made from closed cell foam around a fibreglass core and finished with a strong latex coating, while the handle is a polyurethane foam cast that allows for greater detail and no maintenance. If this sword could speak it would tell gruesome tales of the vast amounts of beheadings it has carried out in the hand of a warmongering Celtic tribal warrior. I buried my father with his sword, so he could bring it to Valhalla.
I kept his Seax.
I always loved the giant sea serpent Jormungand carved in the handle. When I was little, he used to lend it to me so I could pretend I was a valkyrie. It was the only thing I could lift up and it was still pretty heavy. One day while I was playing, I cut myself with it. I didn’t cry. I came back home with blood all over my left leg. He took me in his arms and told me: “Now I get to carry you everytime I go to battle. One day, it shall be yours.” I still feel the grip of this hand on the handle as if the wood carved itself to fit his grasp. My hand is much smaller, but just as strong and just as determined. Now that he’s gone, my brothers alongside him, it is up to me to uphold his memory. It is up to me to finish what he started and fight until Valhalla claims me. The sea shall bring me to my destiny. The wind shall swell the sails of my boat to this new land where my dreams have led me so many times in the past. When I think about who I was, I see the little girl  pretending to be a warrior.
But these times are long gone and time for pretend is over.
