While creating this weapon, we wanted to make a very detailed naginata with a multitude of nested pieces to represent the organic complexity of a spider. The plates interlocking with each other recall the almost mechanical workings of an insect and the metallic coloring is inspired by their chitinous shells. Epic Armoury’s Dark Elf Right Arm Bracer is a heavy-duty, black leather gauntlet designed to protect the knuckles to the elbows. Made from overlapping leather plates, this unique piece features a long list of exciting designs. Along the elbow there is a runed stone-like guard with a leather spike--showing that you mean business. The wristguard is spined like a dragon tail, and the handguard includes three leather spikes along the knuckles. All elements are stitched around the edges to add structure and prevent deformation.

Secure this gauntlet to your hand by sliding your middle finger through the leather loop attached to the knuckle shield. The cuff is secured with three soft leather straps that wrap over the hard shell and around the elbow, forearm and wrist.

The detailed handle features a handpainted finish that looks like faded gold wrapped around polished black wood. The 15 cm grip is cast with a woodgrain texture and is ergonomically shaped, grooved to fit comfortably.

The "Kosumi" naginata is based on historical examples from Japan. There, it was a traditional weapon of the samurai as well as the Onna-bugeisha warrioresses. This foam weapon interpretation made by "Black Dragon" features elaborate ornaments as well as a broad "tsuba", a crossguard similar to a katana's. Similar to the historical basis, the long blade is slightly bent, and its defined shape contrasts with the magnificent ornaments.

This polearm can be divided into two parts! This allows for easy transport and space-saving storage. Screwed together by means of a robust metal thread, it does not lack stability when in use. Of course, the "Black Dragon" polearms may also be mixed and matched in this way. Please do not touch the exposed end of the upper glass fibre reinforced plastic rod bare-handed as there may be splinters.

In the "Black Dragon" series, Italian manufactory Fucina del Drago, famous for their exceptional leather products, have created a foam weapon brand that combines traditional craftsmanship with a fantastic design. The "Black Dragon" foam weapons are 100% handcrafted in Italy. They feature an outer coat of latex varnished with a layer of protective lacquer. Inserts of robust leather guarantee the necessary stability and durability. Carefully painted and with boasting a high-quality leather hilt wrapping, the "Black Dragon" foam weapon range will be a trusty companion for a long time. Please note that each foam weapon is individually crafted by hand, which is why the individual weapons' shape and colour may deviate slightly from the image.

We recommend regular care with silicone oil. Keep your foam weapons clean and dry at all times. Do not store them in a weapon's holder or similar contraption for extended periods of time. Your foam weapon should not be exposed to a lot of heat or direct sunlight for extended periods of time. This could lead to deformations or damage to the surface.

Yari (槍) is the term for one of the traditionally made Japanese blades (nihonto) in the form of a spear, or more specifically, the straight-headed spear.

The martial art of wielding the yari is called sōjutsu.

Your Yari was handed to you by your master many years ago. It was a bittersweet moment for you, because while it meant you overcome all obstacles in your training, it also meant it was time to set out on your own.

Epic Armoury’s Yari is an impressive 200 cm latex polearm inspired by the weapon that served as the backbone of feudal Japan’s infantry. This Yari is handpainted and sculpted, and the finished result is a beautiful weapon with a long double-edged 55 cm spearhead. A short golden ricasso attaches the spearhead to a black-lacquered and gold trimmed pole inspired by Asian design.

Made from durable closed cell foam around a fibreglass core and finished with a strong latex coating, you can feel confident that your LARP weapon will provide the safety and appeal you want when crafting your kit.
