LEGEND

From deep recesses in the walls, the chants of twisted throats echoed out into the cavern. There was no light but Awakened needed nothing so base to perceive what was real. The cultist had removed the blindfold that shaded their dark sockets from the world’s lies and turned their head in the direction of that whimpering thing which still tried to escape its fate, that writhing creature so similar to what they had once, pitifully, been. It had believed itself to be safe, shielded by walls and strength but few things kept an Awakened from their chosen prey.

The cultist let out a long rasping exhale as they readied the unfinished dagger before beginning to drag their feet towards the offering which scrambled away from the noise… and into the grasp of many awaiting arms. Shrieks filled the stone enclosure but could not drown out the prayers that reached much further than the mere flesh of one’s ear. Time shuddered, stretching and compressing as the offering was cast before the ever seeing gaze that will one day consume all. When the ruined body crumpled to the ground, the Awakened cultist raised their arm. Clenched in their bony fist, the dagger’s new eye rolled wildly in the previously empty socket.

WORKSHOP

The first creation within our new Cult of the Awakened collection, the Sakreiegt dagger has sparked the imagination of many in our workshop. Its name is inspired from the Middle English words sakred (sacrifice), eie (eye) and rigt (true). The handle, while shaped to comfortably fit within the hand, bears the appearance of a creature with a ridged belly, uncanny eyes and a maw that splits wide and from which extends a blade decorated with spiraling tendrils. Inspired by the mythoi of cosmic horror and legendary monsters of old, this dagger embodies the otherworldly.

The Warlock Staff

 Pareiesite the Warlock Staff is the second phantasm within our Cult of the Awakened tome, has kindled ancient eldritch reveries within our hearts. In accordance with the overarching theme, its name hints at the vigilant gaze of the inscrutable.

 Crafted for a comfortable grip, the staff exhibits the visage of a creature adorned with numerous eyes, or perhaps multiple creatures intricately sculpted into its form. Utilizing our ColorShift paint, this product, upon close inspection, beckons with an eerie allure. Drawing inspiration from cosmic horror myths and ancient legendary monsters, the staff encapsulates a sense of the otherworldly.

 In the dimly shrouded annals of an era beyond reckoning in the port city of Whalington, there walked a warlock, enshrouded in eldritch whispers and haunted by the ominous embrace of forbidden tomes. A pall of dread clung to his every step, as if the very earth recoiled beneath his feet. His countenance, a sinister amalgamation of shadow and malaise, bore witness to the unspeakable truths he had unearthed.

 Within his lair, the walls whispered with arcane secrets, and the air itself seemed to thicken with unnatural malevolence. Yet, it was the warlock's staff that invoked the deepest unease—an artifact adorned with the grotesque: a cluster of eyes, unblinking and ever-watchful, ensnared within the tendrils of an otherworldly vine. Each eye held a universe of horrors, a window into dimensions beyond mortal comprehension.

The staff was his conduit to the arcane, a conduit that seemed to pulse with an unsettling energy, as if it yearned to connect with the very fabric of reality. With this staff, the warlock commanded powers beyond reckoning, and as joined the chant of his surrounding cultists in tongues long-forgotten, the eyes upon the staff would shimmer with an eerie light, casting strange and twisted shadows upon the chamber walls.

Beneath the fractured vaults of the necropolis, where roots claw through consecrated stone, the necromancer walks alone. He carries Lamentation not as a weapon, but as a burden. Its column would have been cold in his grasp. Faces press within its surface, features strained in silent grief, eyes half-formed, lips parted in an endless plea. They do not scream. They endure.
He stops before a sealed tomb, its sigils worn by time. Once, this knight had stood among the faithful, a final bulwark before the treachery that undid them.
He had failed. As had they all.
The necromancer lowers the staff. At its crown, a pale, uneven candle waits. He kindles it with a flame born of will. The light is dim. It is enough. The faces within the staff tighten. Not in pain, but in remembrance.
“Rise,” he intones, his voice carrying more than one soul. “Your vigil is not yet complete.”
Wax begins to run. It crawls down the staff in slow streams, slipping over carved faces, gathering along his torn glove. The air grows heavy with purpose. The tomb answers. Stone fractures from within. A gauntleted hand emerges, steady. The helm follows, hollow and dark.The necromancer remains still. The candle flame flickers once. Fire takes the knight’s eyes.
They burn with the same pale light, not with fury, but with quiet resolve. No breath follows. No word is spoken. He remembers.
“We were given trust,” the necromancer says. “We answered with failure.”
The knight lowers his head. Not in shame, but in acceptance. Beyond the chamber, others stir. The act echoes. Another rises. Another debt is recalled. Another step toward the end they have sworn to bring.
The necromancer turns, Lamentation held upright, its flame unwavering.
“We will not fail again.”

And the staff listens, as it always has, to the sorrow of the faithful, and the promise that their atonement will be fulfilled.

Lamentation is a full-length necromancer staff designed for immersive LARP combat, combining haunting visual storytelling with Calimacil’s renowned durability and safety. Its sculpted shaft is wrapped in tormented faces, emerging from the surface as if bound within the weapon itself, each expression frozen in silent grief.

At the crown, a melted candle rises from the staff, seamlessly integrated into the design. Both the candle and the embedded faces are finished with a color-shifting effect that reveals deep blue and violet tones depending on light and angle, giving the impression that the souls within still linger and move beneath the surface.

Built with a fiberglass core and Calimacil’s high-resistance foam, Lamentation is fully safe for LARP combat. While it is balanced and durable enough for the field, its length and design make it especially suited for characters who command from presence rather than speed, holding the staff as a symbol of power while casting, directing, or invoking the dead.

You’ve been baking all day, preparing the meat pies sold in your shop window. Flour cakes your arms up to your elbows, and as you wipe at your forehead with the back of your hand, you leave more flour on your face. As you prepare another crust, you see a pair of small hands nabbing a pie from your counter.
