Epic Armoury’s Gothic Leg Protection consists of cuisses to protect the lower thighs, articulated poleyns covering the knees, and half demi-greaves protecting the upper shins and sides of the calves. The poleyon knee-cups are articulated, composed of four overlaying plates and fitted with a projecting heart-shaped plate adding cover to the notoriously under-protected hamstring. This armour piece is held up via straps tied to the wearer’s belt and held in place via guiding straps around the thighs and calves.
The Gothic Arm Protection is made from mild steel with rolled edges that form ridges around the rims. Epic Armoury’s Sallet is a protective helmet with a movable visor closely based on the historical helmet used in 15th century Germany. The visor is reinforced and shaped to fit comfortably around the face while still providing good air flow through its ventilation holes. This helmet is covered with detail that is both beautiful and practical. Wear the visor over the forehead or the face thanks to its flower-decorated hinge, or enjoy the decorative reinforcement plating along the brow. A flexible lobster neck-plate protects the back of the head behind the ears.

Humidity, expansion and contraction in the heat, UV radiation, rain, and the withering blows of your enemies all conspire to expose your armour to rust, but worse yet, your very own precious bodily fluids conspire to corrode it from the inside with their impurities and corruption! (which is why we only ever drink pure grain alcohol or rainwater)
You could coat your armour (and other metal objects) in a regular run of the mill lubricant, but many of them are actively hydrophobic. Great for metal but terrible for leather, cotton and other organic materials!
Lanox MX4 is a lanolin rich lubricant, and lanolin is the oil that is naturally produced by sheep to prevent them from shrinking in the rain and generally remain weather proof! It is superior to many artificial compounds and does not damage leathers or organic fibres.

DETAILS
Epic Armoury's new Hourglass Gauntlets are a set of mild steel gloves designed to protect the wrist, back of the hand and knuckles in combat without compromising manoeuvrability. From fingers to the wrist, you can expect these gauntlets to keep you safe. Each gauntlet protects the fingers, covering them with thick leather, knuckle plates and shiny brass rivets. The back of the hand is protected by a rigid, sculpted plate. A short vambrace protects the wrist.
The steel is decorated with coloured split-leather and the gauntlet is worn via a leather glove underneath. The finger protection of the glove is sewn onto the leather glove, with a leather strap around the palm to secure the gauntlet onto the hand. Made from polished mild steel with rolled edges, these gauntlets are impressive in appearance and easily paired with other Epic Armoury armours.

The name Cromwell is thoroughly associated with protective handwear. We're unsure if these are named for Sir Thomas or Sir Oliver Cromwell. Both had a hand in protecting people, being lawyers and landed gentry.
It's probably not for Sir Thomas though, as he was beheaded by order of King Henry VIII.
Either way these will have you up to the elbow in 1mm thick steel.

DETAILS
These bestselling Epic Armoury Gauntlets are a set of early renaissance articulated steel gloves designed to provide maximal protection in combat without compromising manoeuvrability. From fingers to the forearm, you can expect these gauntlets to keep you safe. Each gauntlet protects the fingers, covering them to the tips with overlapping metal plates. The knuckles are protected by a rigid, sculpted knuckle plate. A short vambrace protects the wrist halfway up the forearm. The back of the hand and the thumb are protected with finely fitted overlapping steel plates decorated with shiny metal rivets.
The steel is fitted onto a flexible leather foundation and the gauntlet is worn via a leather glove underneath. The fingers of the glove are sewn onto the steel protection, with adjustable leather straps under the knuckles and at the wrist to secure the gauntlet onto the hand.
Made from polished mild steel with rolled edges, these gauntlets are impressive but neutral in appearance and fully interchangeable with other Epic Armoury armours.
