Vladimir spaulders

Same as the "Vladimir" torso armour the spaulders are made out of several flexible segments. This allows the wearer to lift and turn his arms to the greatest possible extent.
Their broad shape accentuates the impressive appearance of the whole suit of armour.

The Vladimir greaves are made of curved segments decorated with beading and rivets. The knee tile is movable so that it does not restrict mobility in combat. A peculiarity of these leg rails is that they are also closed on the back of the calf.

The "Vladimir" armor belt is the appropriate thigh protection to the "Vladimir" Torso armour. It consists of segmented tassets which are attached to a sturdy belt of split leather by means of enclosed leather straps. With additional eyelets, the tassets can be placed in different places of the belt and are therefore optimally adjustable for individual size and body shape. This armor is self-sustaining and can be worn without a torso armour. It can also be combined with chain mails or leather armour.

How do they fit?

We provide you with a high-quality, low-melt thermoplastic which softens in hot water and anchors the veneer shell to your teeth. The fitting process takes 20 minutes to obtain a fit that will last all season.

Each set comes with enough fitting plastic for a complete fit and photographic instructions.

The "Vladimir" bracers consist of curved segments and have additional hand and elbow protection. The inner side of the arm is also protected by a flexible segment. The hand protector is flexibly connected to the forearm and thus hardly hinders the wearer in combat.

Epic Armoury’s Shoulder Plate Giant Warrior are a set of two shoulder guards designed to protect the shoulder-joints and upper arm. This armour’s metal plates overlap one another to provide complete laminate protection. Overlaying the spaulders is a large pauldron, which provides additional protection to joints and armpits. Atop the pauldron a vertical plate sword breaker catches and deflects blows before they can impact the head. The sword breaker is slightly concave and somewhat higher at the back than the front, thus providing protection without impairing vision. Although the armour is designed to match Epic Armoury’s ‘Warrior’ set, it is fully interchangeable with other Epic Armoury armours in order to fully customize your character’s look.

Secure the Shoulder Plate Giant Warrior by tightening the top leather strap onto a breast- or neck-plate, adjusting so that the armour sits comfortably over the shoulder. Keep the armour from further moving by securing an additional top leather strap around the upper arm. Epic Armoury’s Dark Drake Shoulderplates are a set of two shoulder guards with spaulders, pauldrons and besagues. The spaulders have four scale-like ridged metal plates--or lames--overlaying one another to provide laminate protection of the upper arms. Overlaying the spaulder is a large pauldron, which provides additional protection to the shoulder joint and armpits. Besauges (small round convex metal shields) tied onto the spaulders with leather cords add further protection to the armpits. The shoulderplates are fastened with leather straps around the biceps and at the shoulder blade, attaching to a breast- and backplate. Epic Armoury breast- and backplates can be purchased separately and have fittings for mounting the shoulders.

The Dark Drake Shoulderplates are designed to match Epic Armoury’s Dark Drake Armour, but is fully usable with other Epic Armoury metal products, giving you the freedom to customize your character’s costume. Epic Armoury’s Polished Steel Milanese Pauldrons are a pair of simple low-fantasy shoulderguards. The pauldrons rest on top of the shoulders and cover the upper arms and a large portion of the upper back. Both are attractively curved to add structural strength to the steel while maintaining flexibility thanks to the overlapping plates. Asymmetrical in design, the left pauldron is fitted with a vertical plate designed to protect the head from glancing blows. These steel riveted pieces have been polished to a high-gloss finish to appeal to the knights in shining armour.

The Milanese Pauldrons are embellished with a top beveled plate to further deflect attacks, as well as a chain pin to attach an insignia. Secure them by tying the canvas ties to a breastplate or gambeson, and pulling the leather straps tight around the upper arms. Epic Armoury’s Dreki Pauldrons are a set of pauldrons with shoulder guards and spaulders, protecting the shoulders and upper armours. These robust steel plates efficiently protect the back of your shoulders and upper arm, while maintaining the same Nordic inspired, imposing, design that is common for the Dreki set. With overlapping plates and rivets and angular design gives these pauldrons an intimidating look, with plates in Epic Dark, that runs down the middle of the pauldron, to give symmetry to the pauldrons. The upper arm protection consists of three pieces of overlapping steel plates held together with two bands leather, which is spilt down the middle with an Epic Dark coated plate, designed to keep symmetry. The Dreki Pauldrons together by two tie strings that is attached to the Dreki cuirass or other compatible torso armours, along with a strap on the lower plate of the Dreki pauldron. With overlapping plates, rivets, and its lean form, you can feel like a fantasy Norsemen, braving the harsh wilderness and slaying ancient dragons among snow covered peaks.

The Dreki set has two colours, the primary being a Matte Polish and the secondary being Epic Dark, to highlight different aspects of the Dreki armour and again show its Nordic inspired roots. Epic Armoury’s Gothic Gorget & Shoulders is fully articulated and designed to provide protection for the throat, neck and shoulders while minimizing the exposure of weak-spots. The armour is a four-piece set: a two piece gorget and two shoulders. The gorget covers the thorax to the sternum and is furnished with several ridges and two large octagonal besagues (round metal shields) to protect the notoriously under-armoured armpits from arrow-strikes. The two parts are fitted together with vegetable tanned top-grain leather straps. The gorget also provides fastenings for the shoulders. The shoulders are composed of articulated spaulders covering the shoulder-joint and upper arms, reinforced with large pauldrons sculpted to look like dragon’s wings to further protect the armpits. The shoulder plates are strapped on at the gorget and around the upper arms.

The Gothic Arm Protection is made from mild steel with rolled edges that form ridges around the rims. The design is historically inspired by the renaissance, but the style and functionality is fully interchangeable with other Epic Armoury armours, allowing freedom to combine armours and customize a character’s looks to fit your needs.
